I'm not sure where these quotes came from, but I would love to see some evidence, statements, anything to support this argument.  We currently have one party seeking to outright disenfranchise millions of legal, valid voters and another party seeking to stop that from happening.  This isn't 1968; there are no Dixiecrats and all of the racist bastards belong to the GOP.  Show me something that supports this argument or just shut the fuck up about it.

The question isn't whether Democrats are "better" than Republicans.  We have outvoted them in several elections and yet still lost.  We did outvote them in 2020.  We simply seek to have valid votes count.  If and when the tables are turned and Democrats start passing laws intended to disenfranchise Republicans, I'll start calling them out on it.

Now there is the bullshit once again.

Voting is voting.. When an individual votes for a representative - it is exactly the same when the representative casts a vote at the behest of the individual voter.

No? ( if not - we can do away with representative government)

So your heros running away to STOP A VOTE from being held is VOTER SUPRESSION.

In fact - lets call it an INSURRECTION.

You are bullshitting yourself if you try arguing otherwise.

Oh, wow, you actually want to engage on ideas.  What a surprise.

Here's why there's a difference.  The bills the GOP are trying to pass would selectively target people who don't vote Republican.  There's absolutely no fairness to that and you know it.  Rules and procedures of lawmaking are not the same thing at all and you can't remotely say the citizens elected lawmakers to go out and selectively prevent people from voting.  You just as easily say the filibuster or a presidential veto is voter disenfranchisement, but you know that's bullshit.  YOU KNOW ALL OF THIS AND YET CONTINUE TO ACT LIKE YOU DON'T!  Stop pretending its the same thing.  Pretend you have a brain.

Now, if you want to say its a dirty trick or a waste of money or time, I won't disagree.  It's a temporary thing at best but it is a loophole in the procedure of lawmaking.  It is not voter disenfranchisement.  And it's the farthest thing from an insurrection.

I'm serious, do you really, truly support what all those people did on 1/6?  Do you really want to see a fully Republican government?  Just say so if you do.  At least I'll understand your insane comments.

What's up with using female names as an insult?  Women have no business talking politics?  Shouldn't be taken seriously?  Only a dumb girl would think that?

I'm curious.

RE: Attack on voting
I find it adorable that people believe they are "enlightened" and tout the old "Don't vote for parties, they are all the same.  Just vote for the best candidate."   Sure, there are no existing barriers to just voting for the best candidate, so what's keeping voters from doing that?  What an amazing intellect.   Bow Down

The GOP and Democratic parties are ever changing, ever evolving, but they are NOT now, nor have they ever been, the same.  Parties exist for a reason, people group together based on political, religious, economic, social, and lots of other issues.  Sometimes the difference is on just a few issues.  Do I have a stake in every issue supported by the Democratic Party?  No.  I happen to agree with some Republican ideas, or at least I used to before they became the party with no ideas.  People choose the party with which they identify with, or in the case of the GOP, the party that lies the most and tells people what they want to hear.  Anyone who doesn't see how far afield the GOP has gone since 2016 is either involved in the con or willingly ignorant.

Just a small sampling of issues the GOP can't figure out what it wants:

Dems 1993:  We need universal health insurance.
GOP:  No fucking way.  Best we could do is force everyone to buy insurance.
Dems:  OK, let's do that then.
GOP:  No fucking way, that's socialism.

GOP 1990's:  We need a free trade agreement with other countries in the Western hemisphere.
Dems:  OK, we agree, let's vote.
GOP:  Yeah, we support it.
Trump GOP:  Trade agreements suck, destroy them all.
GOP:  Yeah, what he said.
Dems:  What the fuck?

Trump GOP:  We need a big, huge infrastructure deal to fix all our shitty roads.
Dems:  OK, sounds good to us, let's vote.
Trump GOP:  Just kidding, fuck you.
Biden 2021:  Now, let's vote on that huge infrastructure deal.
GOP:  Yeah, sounds pretty good. (wink)
Trump:  Fuck any R that votes for that deal.
GOP:  *shits its pants*
Why is it so?
