Fortunately, I never got caught up in that shit. Maybe not so fortunate, as I worked in the engine room and various other places like a shaft alley during sea and anchor detail, so was never actually a "presentable" example of squid life. In my experience, one could always spot the holes snipes (boiler room and engine room workers, for you non-Navy types out there in WWW-land) as they left the ship, because even the black guys didn't have much of a tan, and we all had wet hair. We were busy making the barge go and stop, not trying to look pretty for the sweet "maidens" Rolleyes waving their hankies on the beach.   Tut Tut

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the only movie in the Rocky series that does not feature Sylvester Stallone.

It's also the only one that features Tim Curry

Appreciate that. ManyMost of the men on my mother's side of the family were either Navy or Coast Guard and a few were private boat captains after their time in service. There are, in the family tree - a couple branches back-some who worked on cargo ships and some were deep sea fisherman. Some had their hands in all of the above.

RE: Random Thoughts
Daughter had to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with the parents of one of granddaughter's friends. Seems that another party told this kid's parents that my daughter and husband are swingers and, for that reason, he can't hang out with granddaughter. Also was implied that daughter and husband provide granddaughter with pot...they aren't, they don't.

So the other party (these are all good Christians btw)...didn't want my daughter to have the discussion because she "does life" with the other kid's parents and she doesn't want the relationship strained. WTF does that even mean?

This reminds me of a Nicole Kidman movie where she thinks her house is haunted.

There is exactly one valid answer to the question “why is there a watermelon there?”

Okay, maybe three if you count “to troll executives who don’t get what you’re doing” or “as part of a scheme to air-drop food to the starving.”
