That’s an interesting challenge. I believe the earth revolves around the sun.
Nope.
The Sun and the entire universe revolves around the Earth, which is flat.

That’s an interesting challenge. I believe the earth revolves around the sun. Yeah that's not a belief. It's a fact. Try again.

Hello.
Well if that's how you're using the word Ahriman then all I have are 'Facts' and the only 'Beliefs' I have are in things such as 'Dragons'.
Cheers.

Of course it is. It’s a proposition that I can either accept as true (believe), or not accept as true (lack belief). Whether or not the belief is rationally justified (i.e. the proposition is a well-established scientific fact) is a separate discussion. See, that’s how this works. Some people want to make sure that most of their beliefs are grounded in facts, and other people, like you, just believe any old crazy shit that sounds good regardless of the belief’s status as a fact of reality. They’re all still beliefs, irrespective of their quality.
So, why do you believe that the earth revolves around the sun?

Beliefs and facts overlap.
Belief:1. an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.
Fact: a thing that is known or proved to be true.
If the thing you believe to be true is known to be true it is also a fact.

Obviously, it doesn’t, which is why, for a very long time, people were convinced of the exact opposite. No one is this much of a dullard; you must be a troll. I’ll call that a rationally justified belief. 🙃

Well...isn't that the trouble? The reason that your life is meaningless is very literally that no one cares...not even you.. that I have no one who cares...to talk to, about you, not even you.
Your life is nothing in relation, and that relation is the definition of meaning - of which your life has none. Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong, tell me all of the ways that you mean something?

You don't even know what a belief is. Sorry, but you have brought a knife to a gun fight.
A belief is, the psychological state in which one accepts a premise or proposition as being true.
A fact something known or proven to be true. It still require us to be in the psychological state in accepting it is true (believing it).
It is a proven fact, that covid vaccines reduce the chances of getting covid, or if one gets it, it is a proven fact that it prevents death in over 90% of cases. How many people do not believe this proven fact?
For the majority of human history, humans did not believe that the earth orbited the sun, even know it has always been a fact.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Why should life only mean something, in relation to something else? That's weak shit. I don't see things that way.
