I keep running across the phrase ‘domestic housewives’. This implies that there are also feral housewives, which quite frankly scares the shit out of me.

The term 'feral' is used here to indicate people who live 'alternative lifestyles'. They're a bit like hippies except not as well dressed and with poorer hygiene.

A lot of them live in the rain forests of Northern Queensland where they mate with the native animals.  Some of their children look a little odd.


Addendum: In the army, 'a housewife' was the sewing kit with which every soldier was issued. I think times have changed a bit, even in army, which was still in about 1946 when I was inducted in 1969..

Middle child turns 40 today...she is still my challenge when it comes to being a parent. Geez, that one.

Oldest turns 44 on Saturday. Youngest gloating just a bit that he has half a decade of his 30s left...he's evil like that.

Oldest grandchild was inducted into the National Honor Society last night.

If she keeps going at her current pace, she is going to go far in life. Pretty proud of her and love that she wore a new dress and her Chucks to the ceremony. She always manages to throw some edge into what she does. (They were told to wear their Sunday best.)
