Well, he didn't necessarily dehumanize them. He called them trash. He called them human trash, in fact.

I, probably more than most, understand that there is something completely missing in these people. I honestly do not believe it is a choice to become what these people become. Sure, they could try to control it, but I do find it implausible to expect people to reject their base nature. No, it does not excuse them. I guess what I am saying is that they are not less human than we are. However, it is quite natural for a person to reject them as human beings. It is damn hard to look at what people are capable of. Separating oneself from that is quite natural.

I will admit, at least you call them "Human trash" unlike Epi...who completely dehumanizes them by calling them "it".

You may find them completely disgusting, and not deserving to live in our community...but suggesting that they are no longer human opens a whole new can of worms.

I still don't get it. Hating or dehumanizing serial killers is not racist; it's a clear defense mechanism and a completely forgivable one. There is no comparison with the Nazis here. To suggest such is ridiculous. The fact that you are defending the right of a serial killer to be called by a different pronoun, of all miniscule things, is really strange to me. Instead of honing in on the defense of their victims and saying, "Hey, I get what you hate them so much. They're still human, but I get it." you are acting as if calling a serial killer it is somehow more despicable than being a serial killer. I'm not trying to argue here. Just to clarify, calling someone "it" isn't precisely the same as saying that they are not of the same species. Also, there is no "at least" about the human trash thing. You are implying that it is not okay to speak ill of serial killers. For fuck's sake, are we to have no defense whatsoever, either psychologically or legally against these sick bastards? If that "it" who raped your mother happened to be a different color than you, then how many steps does it take before EVERYONE of that same color becomes an "it", or even "human trash".

The point is that I do not see it as dehumanizing. Calling a person "it" is not necessarily dehumanizing. The fact of the matter is, you would have to actually consider a person not a human to dehumanize them. You have to take away their human traits or ignore their human traits. You're making a mountain out of a molehill.

Do you need to defend yourself psychologically from everyone who opposes you? Honestly, and I say this sincerely, without malice, you do seem to go off rather easily. The path you are taking with your "logic" can lead all over the place. The same argument could be used for "Oh, do I get to stab ONLY serial killers in my home or anyone I don't want there?" "Do I get to block my face from being punched ONLY from a serial killer or anyone who is trying to punch me?" It's a strange idea that you should now be PC about your self preservation methods. If you can do it to one, you can do it to all? I mean, really. I dislike serial killers. I don't dislike everyone who opposes me as a result.
