Russia and Ukraine
RE: Russia and Ukraine
Quote:The White House on Friday announced North Korea has delivered military equipment to Russia amid the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Due in part to our sanctions and export controls, Russia has been forced to desperately search around the world for military equipment,” National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby told reporters. “We now have information that North Korea has delivered arms to Russia for use in Ukraine. Our information indicates that in recent weeks, North Korea has provided Russia with more than 1000 containers of military equipment and munitions.”

The White House released imagery Friday showing the movement of these containers from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) into Russia by ship.

“We condemn the DPRK for providing Russia with this military equipment,” Kirby said, adding that the White House will monitor the situation and continue to expose such arms deals.

Quote:That's exactly what I'm talking about. Supporting Taiwan makes sense because it exports electronics parts that Americans need while Ukraine is an irrelevant country. Funding war there doesn't benefit American taxpayers.
Helping Ukraine prevents Russia from gaining territories and preserves the principles of democracy. That's all the benefit that's required.

You don't get to decide that. Could you imagine if people just decided they didn't like a law therefore they weren't going to follow it... Dodgy

Ah so avoiding the topic because you know your position can't be defended.

Calling a Ukrainian kleptocracy a democracy because that would seems to justify actions whose real purpose is to enable an American democracy that disgraced the very concept of democracy by putting a trump at the trigger of half of the world’s nuclear to complete the nullification of the world’s only counterbalancing nuclear power’s geostrategic autonomy, is neither preserving the principle, nor the good name, nor that actuality of democracy.

The sort of democracy that if destroyed would make the concept of democracy more reputable than if preserved.

Ukrainians apparently find it preferable to the alternative that Putin is trying to impose. That is why they are fighting so fiercely.

If their preference leads to a democracy that put trump at the trigger of half of the world’s nuclear weapons eliminating the strategic autonomy of the only counterbalancing nuclear power in the world, then their preference can go to hell.
