New patient that I had never met before.

"You have an odd accent!"

"I'm Australian."

"Oh.  I'm so very, very sorry!"

The only folks that I can think of that would say that are Kiwis.

I find an Aussie accent on a woman to be incredibly attractive.

I think French is a close second.
Disappointing theists since 1968!

Hehe I'm reminded of some comedian who had a schtick about people ending up in Hell, and the devil telling all the men who had engaged in extra-marital sex to step over to the small guillotine...

Rowan Atkinson.

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

“No matter what men think, abortion is a fact of life. Women have always had them; they always have and they always will. Are they going to have good ones or bad ones? Will the good ones be reserved for the rich, while the poor women go to quacks?”
