Egypt is continuing to keep its border with the Gaza Strip closed to Palestinians attempting to flee the Israeli bombardment of the territory, completing the construction of its concrete wall in the process.
(Oh no, looks like their Arab brothers don't want the little monsters either)
This is not a normal situation. If anyone wants to stay behind and fight Israel let them.
Everyone one else should have an option on whether to leave Gaza permanently or not.
Again: Who would want to raise children in a place like that?

Also, the situation with Egypt is a bit more complicated

Egyptian officials, including the country’s president, Abdel-Fatah al-Sisi, have indicated they are unwilling to allow Palestinians to flee into northern Sinai, fearing it could amount to a permanent resettlement of more than 2 million people whom Israel will not allow to re-enter Gaza.
If that’s the case I’m sending the 5 million Syrians in my country to Egypt for a change. How about that?

I still don’t agree with any of this.
So anyway: (Why won’t Egypt just open that G.D. Border with Palestine anyhow?)

They picked it because they have the same sort of attachment to that particular piece of land that the Palestinians have. It'd probably have saved the world a lot of trouble if they just settled for making Brooklyn the new Israel, but we don't live in that world.

They kinda did just that. There's about six million Jews in Israel, and about six million Jews in the USA.

But they didn't. That is the excuse of a spoiled child with brain difficulties: "I stole the candy because I was attached to it".

I think the situation in Israel and Palestine is messed up.
Both sides have their share of blame into how things are right now.... not to mention the seemingly unconditional support that Israel gets from the US and how the original jew settlement scheme was started by the British.
As it is right now, people live in that region. People with two related but different religions. Either they learn to live together, or one side annihilates the other, or both sides collapse.
What is the ideal outcome?
From a humanitarian point of view, I'd say that everyone learns to live together. Stop war, stop conflict. Israel should stop tretating people in the country differently and rather treat them as people, not as "infidels", or whatever.... and the same needs doing from the Islamic side. Israel could be the beacon of hope for a united humanity regardless of religion... but that's not what we see...
The US's support of Israel suggests that the conflict's direction will be towards Israel taking over palestinian territories with little care for the Muslim populations. As was shown on a map earlier in this thread, there is a great Islamic population in the vicinity and that represents a virtually never-ending source of people to fight on the Palestinian's behalf, thus leading to a never ending conflict, war forever. Sadly, I think this is the more likely scenario.
The support from the US is also there, it seems, because Palestine gets a lot of help from Iran - Iran recognizes that Palestine is its own country and rejects the two-state solution.... and we know how much the US and the Iranian regime get along.

Given that the intransigence on both side of the conflict seems insurmountable, I've come up with a plan to solve this mess (inspired by Rev's comment above).
1. Find an absolutely worthless and resource-free piece of desert that nobody wants. It should be as far from the Middle East as possible - the American west, maybe, or central Australia.
2. Begin a massive disinformation/brainwashing campaign to convince the world's Jewish population that this chunk of dirt is the TRUE 'Holy Land'. This would involve the forging of ancient documents and the complicity of some respected scholars.
3. Set up a fund to finance the voluntary relocation of Jewish people to this 'New Israel'.
The outcome of this plan would be that the Muslims could have the entire Middle East all to themselves, Jews would be removed from what is clearly a danger zone, and I would be a shoe-in for the Nobel Peace Prize.
I know it sounds far fetched, but it strikes me as being at least as likely to work as expecting Palestinians and Israelis to settle their differences and live together in peace and harmony.

As opposed to Hamas: 'I killed the other child because they were holding my candy.'
