Stupid things religious people say
RE: Stupid things religious people say
Bishop and nun claim that the "worst form of antisemitism is to deny Jews the knowledge of Jesus because only Jesus can save them" from being damned.

Do you know what is actually antisemitism? Saying or implying that Jews are damned.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Worshippers say they’ve witnessed a ‘miracle’ after Virgin Mary statue ‘cries’

The small figure was filmed ‘crying’ by visitors to a church in El Chanal, Colima, Mexico.

Hundreds of people are reported to have flocked to the church to witness it weeping.

Many have linked the ‘tears’ with the ongoing violence in the state of Colima.

Víctor added: ‘We can associate it with… the violence rates that are being experienced here in the state of Colima, also here in the community.’

Some 702 confirmed intentional homicides had been recorded by the Colima Prosecutor’s Office as of October this year.

But others are sceptical of the ‘miracle’ and have offered scientific explanations for what happened.

Professor Luigi Garlaschelli explained some statues have the ability to absorb water due to the porosity of the materials they are made of.

He said: ‘You need a hollow statue made of plaster or ceramic, which must be covered on the outside with a waterproof layer.

‘By filling the statue with water through an imperceptible hole at the top, the porous material will absorb it, but the outer layer will prevent it from coming out.

‘However, if a slight scratch is made in the protective glaze in the tear duct area, the absorbed water will come out through it as if it were tears.’

Would these people be this mentally damaged if they weren't groomed into religion?

Quote:American exorcist: the battle against Satan is no longer hidden

Why only in recent years, after decades of long drought, has the Church begun to form exorcists? Years ago there were only a handful of exorcists and no official training. Even today, despite the fact that the Holy See has asked all dioceses to have an exorcist, there are still entire countries without any. Furthermore, in almost all seminars, training on liberation continues to be provided.

However, today there is a real explosion of interest and many young priests participate in the liberation work. Before, Satan could hide and do his destructive work in secret. Those days are rapidly disappearing.

American priest and exorcist Stephen Rossetti argues in his blog that the following

On October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII, just after celebrating Mass, turned pale and collapsed as if he were dead. Those who were close ran to him. They found him alive, but the Pontiff seemed scared. Then he related to them having had a vision of Satan approaching the throne of God, boasting that he could destroy the Church.

The Lord - Leon XIII pointed out - reminded him that his Church was indestructible. Then Satan replied: « Grant me a century and more power to those who serve me, and I will destroy it ». And Our Lord granted him those 100 years

The 20th century, says Father Rossetti, was a particularly brutal century with two world wars and other calamities. « But 100 years have already passed. The Church has not been destroyed. And a growing army of exorcists, along with a multitude of faith-filled and fervent laity, are fighting back, by the power of Christ. We face the final battle, which culminates the end of 100 years. Satan's presence is no longer hidden. The battle is open and clear », says the exorcist.

The priest warns that 300 Catholic churches They have been attacked in the United States alone since May 2020 and the number is increasing. Furthermore, as an exorcist, he has been able to confirm - he points out - how “ hundreds of thousands of people openly claim to be witches, Wiccans, practitioners of occultism and / or Satanists. Fundamental moral values are being openly challenged as individuals and their families, including our children, are degraded. The statues of the evil demon, Baphomet, they are being publicly consecrated”.
