Finally got around to Dune: Part 1 last night. I tried to read the book back in high school and couldn't see what the fuss was about and the previous adaptations were unwatchable. Now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. Great film with great visuals and a story that is compelling, if a bit slow developing instead of the slog that was the source material.

I think I read about six of the Dune books in college. I'd like to see part two in the theater.
