If Genesis is BS, what DID happen?

Just watched the vid. BBC makes good shit. Penrose's explanation fits with a recent though experiment I did with simple geometry, and is an enhancement to my own Pure Number hypothesis - it's cool to think my brain works like other brains. Sometimes I must wonder..
In the vid, though, it seemed clear to me that there's a subliminal and relentless bias at work driving causality and creation. As correlation does not prove causation I consider this is perhaps another demon spawned by the abyss of identity. People insist on their being, on something, and continually fear the Void which they fill with identity expanding concepts like god and string theory. I don't like either of them concepts, but what I do like about the second is that there's thinking going on. And as for the OP; even in its height of optimism over the possibility of new physics, this vid never goes father than saying "almost mainstream;" i.e. BBT is still BBT. ![]() (December 25, 2011 at 9:51 pm)Minimalist Wrote: And far too many of the rest remain silent when scumbags like the above proclaim they represent all. You would too if your brother had been imprisoned or worse by the regime. That kinda changes your perspective, you know. Life in the slums of Caïro, Baghdad, and Damascus is a little different than retirement in a brandnew sundrenched southwestern US city with all the 21st century modcons and securities! But all that is changing! Profoundly, it looks like. Or have you already forgotten what happened in 2011 in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Qatar, Yemen, and Syria? Many thousands are waking up. And rising up. I'm not saying it's enough. I'm not saying it's going anywhere substantial eventually, but I do say that the trend is commendable and deserves support from the international community. Instead of isolation as seems to be your view. Without that support that movement is doomed. And that is not what I want. Do you want it to be all for naught? Quote:Or have you already forgotten what happened in 2011 in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Qatar, Yemen, and Syria? You had best take off the rose-colored glasses my friend. What happened in 2011 was that non-Islamist dictators were overthrown and the towel heads are quickly turning their countries over to the sharia assholes. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/...7137.story Quote:Islamist parties solidified their lead in Egypt's parliamentary elections, taking about 70% of the seats up in the second phase of voting. Yes, it could of course well go that way – like I specifically pointed out and like everybody knows full well, BUT it hasn't yet IRL! The jury is still out. Right now this can still go either way. Thousands upon thousands have taken and are still taking to the streets everyday on Tahrir square and the streets of Hom, Damascus, etc. Laying their lives and futures on the line for some measure of democratic freedom. But apparently you have already given up on them. A.k.a. jumped to a conclusion. And with that you have condemned the whole 'Arab Spring' movement to failure and a continuation of the misery of the masses under dictatorial regimes, which you thus effectively support. Religious or otherwise. And that attitude is why Arabs – the man in the street – hate the US. They have very good reason to: you de facto support their being oppressed! They see you as in cahoots with their regimes. Which you are! Quote:The jury is still out. What jury? Where? The allah freaks got 70% of the seats in Egypt. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/arti...16392b31d7 Quote:ALGIERS, Algeria (AP) — Algeria's Islamists, buoyed by election victories of their brethren across North Africa over the past two months, are looking to triumph themselves next spring in nationwide polls. Like Egypt - the only thing keeping the Algerian towel heads in check is the army which means at best another dictatorship like what they supposedly just rid themselves of. Perhaps you have Yemen as your glorious triumph? Doesn't look good there, either. http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/20...82330.html Quote:Islamists poised to run Yemen after emerging as biggest winners in anti-Saleh struggle Reform movements in the Gulf were crushed. Perhaps Libya will go your way? But I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. RE: If Genesis is BS, what DID happen?

That's all projection, sir. Mañana. A.k.a. jumping to conclusions. The jury is still out. The process is still on-going. But you have already determined the outcome...
Rose-colored glasses show more of reality than a manipulated crystal ball. It's also a demonstration of where you stand vis-a-vis the Arabs in the streets, which they notice keenly, and where you stand vis-a-vis their criminal regimes, which you thus bolster!
What will it take?
When they reintroduce stonings? When the burqa becomes mandatory in Egypt? Seriously, what do these fuckers have to do to convince you that their goal is the 11th century and not the 21st? RE: If Genesis is BS, what DID happen?

But "these fuckers" you're referring to don't represent all Arabs. At all! "These fuckers" are only your friends in the criminal regimes and mosques. I.o.w. the elites. As usual. I know that their goal is the 11th, or probably rather the late 8th/early 9th, century. The great majority of the Arab masses, however, are not these exploitative medieval fuckers, but relatively simple people who nevertheless – now that most of them can read, write, watch TV, and communicate and organize via the internet – have seen the 21st century. And have realized how they have been oppressed, manipulated, and exploited all this time. And decidedly want their share of 21st century democracy and decent justice! So much so that they are sacrificing their lives in the thousands for that goal. Or hadn't you noticed? That should tell you plainly enough what they want. And how much they want it. They are enacting Peter Finche's call to arms in the 1976 movie Network: "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!". |
