Often it's possible to highlight a selection and search the web for it. If you find it exactly as written, it's copy paste.

Sometimes you can tell when people post something that is in different fonts or font sizes.

A simple google search.  If it's been posted elsewhere it usually comes up.

^I did some Googling around and found that he has been trolling multiple forums for what seems like a long time. He has also been banned from several. I see a pattern here...
