While there were some questions about whether US bunker busters were capable of destroying the underground portions of Fordow — which had been the focus of the administration’s planning for the operation — multiple sources familiar with the discussions told CNN the likelihood of successfully doing the same at Isfahan was an even bigger question.
Early assessments raise questions over whether US destroyed bulk of enriched Iranian nuclear material
The depth is it. MOPs are rated for 200' penetration, Fordow is at least 260' -- which might be penetrated by multiple accurate strikes -- but if Esfahan is much deeper, then you'll need reload/restrike efforts. Diego Garcia not being available, we can't shuttle-bomb these sites, and how many MOPs do we have in the inventory anyway? It's another 25-hour flight home, reservicing, reloading, and reflying the mission against an alerted enemy -- not that they might be capable of much, but whatever.
We may have taken out some goodies, but 14 of these bombs is not, I think, enough. And if Esfahan is 300 or 400 foot deep, you'll need four or six of these bombs hitting a very tight CEP (say, 25 foot) to drill down that deep.
I think this is more dead flies on the music score, Trump trying to flood Iran's zone with another decision process while they deal with Israeli attacks. But I don't think we have the capability to do this.

Iran's Infamous Fordow Nuclear Facility Just Got Hit Again
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/ira...91504&ei=9
Israel fired off a fresh round of strikes Monday morning reportedly targeting various facilities across Iran, including the Fordow uranium enrichment plant.
"The aggressor attacked the Fordow nuclear site again," Iranian media quoted an Iranian government representative as saying, as reported by The Guardian.

Hey, could we perhaps nail down these goalposts? They're dancing around an awful lot.
But if they cannot hit us here in America, why should we give a shit? Y'all in Europe, at least in part, are the ones that can be hit by missiles. Shouldn't you have a vested interest in denuclearizing Israel, and peacefully?
Finally, to answer your question, missiles aren't the only delivery system. Put a few into shipping containers fused with GPS to go off once in port. Not only will you destroy major ports, you will also freeze trade as everyone frantically searches every.single.container.
We have a lot of military assets in the region whose main missile defense is our reputation.

Thankfully, our base at al Udeid is not one of those:
Quote:Iran has launched an attack on the Al Udeid U.S. Air Force base in Qatar following strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.
A spokesperson for the Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Qatari air defenses “thwarted the attack and successfully intercepted the Iranian missiles.”
The spokesperson also condemned the strikes, saying Qatar “reserves the right to respond directly in a manner proportional to the nature and scale of this blatant aggression and in accordance with international law” and that Qatar considers the strikes “a flagrant violation of the State of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, as well as of international law and the United Nations Charter.”
The Department of Defense said the attacks were from short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles and did not report any casualties from them.
“I can confirm that al Udeid Air Base was attacked by short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles originating from Iran today. At this time, there are no reports of U.S. casualties. We are monitoring this situation closely and will provide more information as it becomes available,” a Defense official said in a statement.
Iranian state TV reported on Monday that Iran had begun operations against the U.S. base outside Doha. A source familiar with the matter also told The Hill that Iran launched 10 missiles at the base.

I see the Idaho sniper has been identified as Wess Roley. MAGAts are sure to be depressed that his name wasn’t Pedro Sanchez.

Combat arms and separatist militants in the us tend to be predominantly white. Something to think about the next time a nut talks about the minority culture of violence they intend to save america from.

Idaho is a scary place, but a convenient dumping ground for the fascist hordes.

The Washington Snipers weren't white, but I can't think of any others, off hand.

Quote:LONDON (AP) — Hard-rock royalty and some 40,000 fans gathered for an ear-splitting tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at what the heavy metal icon says was his last-ever live performance.
The original lineup of Osbourne’s band Black Sabbath performed at Villa Park soccer stadium in their home city of Birmingham, central England, on Saturday.
The 76-year-old singer, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, sang from a black throne that rose up from under the stage.
“Let the madness begin!” he urged as he took the stage, and later paid tribute to fans.
“I don’t know what to say, man, I’ve been laid up for like six years. You have no idea how I feel — thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Osbourne said. “You’re all … special. Let’s go crazy, come on.”
Osbourne performed several songs solo before being joined onstage, for the first time in 20 years, by Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Terence “Geezer” Butler and Bill Ward. The band ended a short set with “Paranoid,” one of its most famous songs.
