Considering how many movies have been made out of conspiracy theories (JFK, Shakespeare, Lindbergh's baby), someone should make a movie about Paul McCartney dying and being replaced by a doppelganger in 1966 whose name is William Campbell.

I heard this again this morning on the radio. When they interview people after a tragic event someone almost always mentions that there was a "vigual" held or going to be held for the victims. It's like they squished vigil and visual together to come up with this word. The first time I heard it, I thought it was a one off...nope. There are viguals happening with frequency here in Texas.

What was that? Let's cut education funding? Yeah, that's a damn fine idea.

Another random encounter while traveling. I was sat at a hotel bar, knackered by the flights, having a beer and bar food. It's late and there are only a few of us left. We're watching baseball.

A tattooed guy a few seats down strikes up a conversation. Eventually he asks what I do, so I told him. I then asked him. "I'm in a band you might have heard of, we're called 311."

I told him I wasn't familiar with their work. He offered comp tickets to the show they were doing but I didn't have the heart to tell him how much his band sucks.
