Oh,how very disappointing.
Here in Oz, to 'piss off' does indeed mean 'to deeply annoy'. It also it means to "make go away or,remove" I think it's an expansion of the expression of frustration and exasperation"piss off",meaning "go away,leave, disappear, NOW"

Even if you had a time machine, that showed them evolution from the beggining (fast forward ofc), they'd still deny it and say that was the devil trying to pull them off the godly path. Its nigh-on impossible to persuade or even make a creatard even look at the evidence. After all they've invested so much of their honesty, intelectuality and pride in their conclusion...
