Quote:I don't think there is any subversive motive behind any of Tibet's religion or wish for sovereignty.

The motive(s) are irrelevant, not that we have any way of knowing what they might be or how many there are.

Tibet may achieve independence if and when it is strong enough to make the PRC to give in. As far as I can see, there is no innate/transcendent right to self determination nor for any country to exist.

I don't understand what you mean by this statement. Could you explain where you stand on such an issue? Why shouldn't a country or nation have self determination? Do you think that no borders should exist? (which is valid to an ideological extent like John Lennon sang in Imagine). But I don't understand your lack of compassion for the disenfranchisement of third world countries and people living in exile not just in India but also in Africa for instance.
You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.

Let's not ignore the state that Tibet (and it's people) were in when China occupied. We can wave it away as propaganda if we wish, but it isn't like we don't have third party verification of the situation on the ground. The standards of living in Tibet have steadily increased since occupation. Just as one example, Tibetan people are no longer considered property.
