He did believe that god existed at the time and has since come to his senses and stopped believing in fairy tales. What do you not get about that?

Nothing, I am able to tell when God speaks to me, I try to always separate my emotional feelings from my spiritual experiences. I want to know when it is God speaking and when I might want my desires to come to fruition. Christians must be careful about what they desire and what God really wants. One thing a Christian can count on, God will almost always put them into something they are not comfortable with, I know this from experience.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

PRAYER is begging in its truest form. If you want to spend the rest of your life on your knees feel free, but I most certainly DO NOT. I dont whisper sweet nothings into thin air expecting results. Wait... isn't that the direct definition of insanity? Repeating the same activity over and over again, while expecting different results? When your prayers go unanswered (which they do until sheer coinsidence checks in), you keep on praying, expecting some enlightenment to happen. You do this every time. Hence, if you pray you're quite literally insane, according to the scholary definition of insanity that is. But hey, I am quite sure you'll try to dispute the FACT of that also.

Ha, Ha, Ha, you're funny, not really, what would you know about the reality of prayer, you try to bring in secular definitions into God's work, will not work. Besides you can't prove to me that God does not answer pray, the only thing you will throw out to me is God's not real, and that is also something you can't prove.

But you're more than willing to say that god exists for the simple reason that Nietzsche has died? "Ha, Ha, Ha, you're funny."
But then again, Nietzsche was well aware than he was not a man among fellow man. And he said it best when he said: "Why do I speak when nobody has my ears?".

RE: Communicating with Him
I was with some Muslims and a Christian today discussing the topic of religion. I thought it would be the best time to try a little experiment.

I asked them what would happen if we experienced some sort of miracle right now? Whose god would take the credit for it? It was interesting because neither party was quick in saying that it was their god. I think they realised that their cultural background is the only thing that would make them connect the dots and say it was their god. Of course, they didn't admit to that straight out =).

What I'm getting at is that if you were with a Muslim and you both received a message through prayer from your respective gods, what would you say to him? Is he not in an equal position to claim you've possibly made it up?

PS.S @godsaccidentaloffspring -- Be happy for secularism, because if we weren't a secular state you wouldn't be here speaking with me. You would be in a forum called: "christians united", and I would've quite literally been either burned to death for non-believing or some other form of murderous act, committed by "gods people", the good hard working christians of America! B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T!

Depends on the Muslim and Christian. If I was with a Sufi, my guess is that we would probably accept it as coming from the same God, depending on the nature of the revelation.

You couldn't have, to you He does not exist.

Exactly why he put it in quotes GC. Once again you miss the whole point. What he felt was real ... because feelings and emotions ARE real. The Holy fucking Spirit on the other hand is just the name you assign those emotions.

You just can't tell someone who was a christian for 15 years that, "well, you weren't a REAL christian." It's a bull shit copout. Especially when some of these former god-suckers were pastors and missionaries.

Arrogant SOB.

A person should say I felt something emotional, not that they felt God when they believe He doesn't exist.

Yes I can say they were not a true christian, when they relate their Christian experience was phony, just like you. To have been an authentic Christian means that even though you changed your position, you would not deny that Christ is who he says He is. The arrogance falls on you brother, I'm just relating the truth, if it bothers you then quit reading my post.

O come on, you're dense, but you're not THAT dense! You know good and well that I was referring to when they actually WERE believers. The arrogance doesn't fall on me you illogical clown. They weren't ALWAYS atheists. I wasn't ALWAYS a deist. Until I was in high school I believed it all - 100%. I even thought your god spoke to me. You sit there and make claims you can't possibly prove and on top of that, you simply ignored the link I posted showing that long time preachers have even lost faith and realized that it's just human emotion and a need to feel loved. With your shitty god-endorsed, jesus-approved arrogance are you going to tell all those pastors and parishioners of 30+ years that they weren't True Christians™??

Bull shit. You wouldn't' know what the truth was if it ran you over with a Mack truck. Everything that comes out of your mouth is bull shit.

And how do you know its not Satan deceiving you?

Stripping yourselves of desires? You lot sound more like Buddhists to me.

Yeah maybe he's twat who likes putting people to the test? Or maybe he doesn't give two holy shits about you? You know, there's that possibility too.

Oh wait, of course, the god that can't stand you isn't your god.

Presents an interesting predicament for theists to be rejected by god only for them to reject the god as 'god'.

So you believe in a god who created the entire fucking universe ( in 6 days no less) and who knows all, sees all, and does all but he still takes time out of his busy day to talk to YOU?

What a fucking egomaniac you are, G-C!
