Um, you're a bit late, Shell scolded me already on that point.
Quote:I do understand how some can see this as an unpleasant experience, however in the research I did the mothers that carried the child to full term, did not regret doing so. These mothers saw their child as a precious gift, and cherished the small amount of time they had with their child. They did not see having the child as cruel, instead they realized a chance to love a person that others would dismiss as unworthy of even a moments life.
And as I said, it's always up to the mother if she wants to carry her baby full time, I do not blame her for doing so. I say that she is awful for dressing up a dying baby and treating it like a paper doll and then have the stomach to ask people for money. Everyone deals with their own grief when a child dies, but I can't say that I understand people who do it this way.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Sorry for being late, I was researching and then writing, I did not realize others had already posted.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Precious gift? How fucked up in the head is a person who sees this as precious, much less a gift?
It's actually a rare tragedy, GC. A person's character is subject to judgments based upon how they react toward a tragedy. People whom capitalize on such tragedies are called christians... oh, now I get it!
If this is your god's idea of a precious gift, then fuck your shitty, psychotic god. And you see how all that praying helped so much?

Absolutely it is exploitation of the child. True, it will not ever know or realise what is happening, but when in a billion years does that make it right? It's fucking sick is what it is.

The baby can't feel pain. It's not cruel. It has absolutely no feeling, consciousness, sight, hearing, etc. Whether they carry or abort, the baby is going to have no life to speak of.
So we should have no problem feeding it to the dogs, then.

I didn't say it wasn't a person and that we should violate its body. I said that it is not feeling pain, so that is not a valid reason to expect the mother to terminate. Nice leap, though.

Reading her blog was like reading the diary of a severely deluded madwoman.

Or you were driving east as the earth rotated your geographical location toward the unremarkable star closest to our planet. But whatever.
Seriously?!?!? That is fucking nuts!!

er... Shell... it had half its head missing and had about eight hours to live once it was born.
Thats a pretty valid reason.
If that kid had been able to hold a sentient thought in its head and voice it I'm pretty sure it would of agreed, I don't know a single sane person who would want to be vegitablized and then subjected to... that.
