Soul creation

So why did god created this material environment for the souls? After all he/she/it is a non-material entity, is it? What is the point of having this tiny stage in time where for a split second we are material only to spend the rest of the eternity in an immaterial state? Sounds similar to considering a day to be good or bad by what happened during its first nanosecond.
Another question, why you religious people are so sad when someone dies? Doesn't that mean the respective soul found its way to heaven? What can be more joyful? You should party hard when your parents or children pass away, not mourn. What is the actual loss in your view?
I have no problem sharing a common ancestor with the apes; it's being related to some people that bothers me.

The same as your loss, you think we're callous and want miss those we love, we do celebrate when our loved ones are in heaven, we are extremely saddened when the lost ones go to hell. Those of use who will be in heaven will have a material body, you should read and study scripture before making such ridiculous statements. By the way those who will be in hell will have physical bodies too.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Seems to me, reading and studying scripture has only enhanced your abilities to make ridiculous statements. Evidence quoted above. I do like the error in spelling "us," by the way: It is very telling.

If you religious people cry at all funerals it means everyone goes to hell? Also I have not made any statements, I am asking questions. I am very intrigued about the materialism of dead people's souls - this means they must exist somewhere in physical space, which in turn means it should be visible to live humans who might stumble over the place. In your opinion where are heaven and hell placed in the universe? Are there alien souls as well?

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them. RE: Soul creation

I love the time cop out excuse "thats nothing to a God"
Ok fine, then please explain WHY after 13 billion years and after 500,000 years of human evolution, SUDDENLY, and not even by his own magic hand, he decides "Humn, maybe it's time I say something". From a manufacturing standpoint this supposedly "all powerful" being puts us on an imperfect dot in the middle of nowhere full of natural disasters, disease, famine and the best he can do is stick knives in our hands and say "Kill for me and the last one standing gets to hang out with me" and only says something after billions of years? Unless we are lab rats or mere toys for his own amusement the reasonable rational person can only conclude that such a claim as a concept is utter garbage, both scientifically and morally. The universe is inspiring enough without fucking it up with superstition. RE: Soul creation

Oh, and that is an old one, saw that "Fred is dead" line on an old episode of Benny Hill. And got a question for you about your other tag line about hell. If you rightfully don't bow to a Muslim's threat of their hell for not bowing to Allah, what makes you think threating us with your Baptist hell will work? I used to believe myself, but I find nothing moral about a leader that is a bully and uses threats. And why do you have a logo which is a torture device? I don't find torture moral, not a cross or the concept of hell. |
