Capitalism is one of the best monetary systems available. I am more of a fan of credit per work/time*quality with its basis as a meritocratical (Best hands get the tools) government.
However, capitalism is much simpler and easier to implement.

However, capitalism is much simpler and easier to implement. Capitalism is instinctual; we all want to be rewarded for the work we do. If we work harder, we expect a better reward. This is how society develops. Socialism is the disease that seeks to wipe out this growth.

As far as Michael Moore goes, his films are entertaining. I'm a big fan of Bowling for Columbine and Sicko. Sicko especially.
I like the extreme lengths he goes to show a point. A favourite of mine is taking 9/11 workers to Cuba (an evil socialist place with shity healthcare) and getting free care and low-cost drugs. It's both humourous and heartbreaking simultaneously.
Capitalism isn't perfect. We need regulations to keep greed in check. Yes, yes, greed is good, Gordon Gekko, etc. Not unchecked greed. I refuse to believe that. I don't believe we need the government to run everything. I think the government should stay out of some things.

That is very true. Socialism ≠ individuality or fair or just. I just modified capitalism into a system where quality of work and the meritocracy add into the equation, and the final number is given out in a very specific monetary system that makes it literally impossible to steal.

Raw assertions proove nothing. Here watch this, "Socialism, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I'm sure that did as much for changing YOUR mind as your assertion did for changing mine. So your "rain" is imaginary and my parade is going quite strong! When the illuminati admit me as one of their members I will direct the aliens to visit you and explain economics, unless god has a problem with that. Capitalism is teh roxorz!
Oh, and I do plan on watching the film. I know it will be the same pap that Mr. Moore is famous for, but it might give me some leads to find real information. I dig his films, Bowling for Columbine was hilarious!

My mind is not for changing on this issue.
You made the assertion that you will do what it takes to get into the 1% fatcat club. Why would you even want to go there? You don't strike me as being that unpleasant.
I'm asserting that you won't.
Simples.

All minds must be open to change, lest they destroy themselves by not changing. Roman Empire (And Republic) anyone?

Not such a big difference. Michael Moore made some really great points in his last movie about HEALTH CARE.

Would you care to explain the other monetary systems that are available to us?
Capitalism is merely another system that has evolved since feudalism. It will eventually give way to another system, the nature of which is a big imponderable.

Let's just go back to feudalism. I could see myself as a serf.

Capitalism is no advert for developing society. Capitalism breeds selfishness, greed, envy, competitiveness, hostility to others and other unenviable traits.
It is inhuman...witness the vast imbalance of the world's resources, look to the third world, to the starving millions and contrast the lives of those people to the mega-rich. Abomination.
You show your true colours, Adrian, in calling socialism, a system that would seek to redress the imbalance and create REAL equality, a " disease ". It is you that is diseased, I fear, only interested in your own development.
