My original Xbox is still working as well, despite being entrusted to a 10-year old for the last 5 years.
The reliability issues with the 360 led to me purchasing a PS3 instead.

Pfft. 360 could break once a week and I still wouldn't trade it in for a PS3.

Probably fanning the flames for a console war, but I've never heard anyone of my friends have problems with their playstations breaking.
The shitbox though? I know tons of people who've got the rings of death.
I owned an xbox ages ago, stopped reading discs so I threw it away.
Lasted about 5 months? If that.
Playstation on the other hand? I've owned my ps2 for 10 years, still fucking works. I bought a ps3 fat on launch, still works. I bought a ps3 slim when that came out, still works.
Personal preferences over which you think is the better console aside (it's the ps3 if you didn't know), I'll take reliability over unreliability any day.

I don't give a shit which console other people choose to use. I like the gaming experience I get from XBox better. Everything down to the controller is better.

The controller? You mean that brick that weighs as much as a house?

Different strokes, I guess. I prefer the PS3 controller personally. Otherwise, it's pretty much a wash and comes down to exclusive titles, very few of which I give a flying fuck about.

Same here, my PS2 is still going strong. Still play a few titles now and then.
LOL, I just remembered my N64 still worked, the last time I plugged it in anyways, which was a few years ago. As far as I know it still does.

Hah, I've had my PS1 since 1997 and it's still working
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
