Well, I've always felt that religion is a comfort zone for people who seek that comfort. You feel someone is "always watching over you" (I feel this is extremely disturbing though lol but thats just my opinion) and that someone "helps you when you need it most" and "loves you unconditionally"..etc..

Christians don't worship out of fear. They worship because it is beneficial and uplifting.

This would be a matter of personal opinion.

Alright I see this is what you are referring to. To clarify, I'm saying there are different reasons why christians worship. Not necessarily out of fear but also not necessarily because its "beneficial and uplifting".

A lot of christians are thrown into a church at an early age like how muslims are drowned in islam from the day they are born and it becomes a part of their life. Some of them go through with their religion meaninglessly just to keep people around them happy. They don't care what the bible says or doesn't say and neither do they care what the pastors say. They go to church and pray/worship for the sake of weekly ritual, nothing more.

For the record, I am not implying that all christians or most christians are like this. I make no assumption but I do know there are christians as I have described above.

Well those that are 'born' into Christianity aren't actually Christians. God has no grandchildren, only children. There has to be a decision to follow Christ. Coercion etc are not valid credentials.

theVOID gave a few examples of how this Christian god just doesn't make any sense with his applied attributes... and the only way that I see for this god to keep attributes such as omniscience, and still do what he has done: Is for him to be mentally unstable and sadistic. The first of those naturally comes from omniscience... and his sadism is apparent from the text.

PS: if God only has children... and he impregnated Mary (who surely was his child?) against her will... then he has not only raped... but he has raped his own child.

VIOD's was a very illogical explanation Sae. These criticisms just don't hold water. VOID blindly refuses to even consider logic in favour of the well worn rhetoric he trots out. I expect you to think at least. God's attributes are entirely consistent if you consider them fully. Primarily: God is love.
