I would say that's pretty smart but then I would be lying because I'm just going to keep coming back on with a different username and the same question you "thinking" atheists cant answer... so the cycle continues and the unanswered questions remain... so please kick me off again you thinkers

What does the atheist position offer people?  How has it improved your life?  Why will it improve others’ lives?

1- Truth, reality, reason.
2- By replacing baseless faith and hope with action
3- See answer 2

Let me expand a bit here. I truly believe that, while most of the world subscribes to some faith based religion or another, very few people actually believe in a god that iinteracts with people. For social reasons, reasons of insecurity, preservation of family, among other things, people prefer to associate themselves with some kind of faith based religion, and it's usually whatever religion is prevalent in their immediate surroundings. Their conduct, however, is often in direct violation of the principles they claim to fear so greatly. If people (in general) truly believed that god was active, I find it unlikely that they could so easily and blatantly violate his decrees. They do so because they have witnessed the fact that god is completely uninvolved in ANYTHING that's going on.

As a result, people do not concern themselves so much with god's decrees. Instead, they often choose to re-invent him in ways that justify their lifestyles and choices. That isn't to say that they completely abandon those decrees or the beliefs they are based around. They just tweak them to their liking.

That said, there are a lot of excellent reasons NOT to subscribe to any of these beliefs period. Here is one of the top reasons:

Action, not prayer. When a person of faith is faced with a very real problem, they typically see prayer as the primary method of dealing with it. Unfortunately, prayer is USELESS. That's right, prayer yields absolutely zero results.

A person of reason, however, has no use for prayer, and will instead look for logical and intelligent means to solve the problem.

I mean, let's be honest for just a second: you have a problem, do you want prayer or do you want potentially effective action?

And, there's more where that came from.
