Hey. You just called rhythm "ignorant and intolerant" in the other thread. I guess you've got my back bro! ;)

@Rhythm:

Please tell me what you have done to get on Fr0d0's ignore list. I keep trying different things, but so far I have not been similarly blessed. Is there a secret to it?

Oh don't worry verbal diarrhea, I can ignore what you write quite naturally.

Actually, I didn't, but even if I did, that doesn't add any substance to your statement. Wink

Actually, you did. Why should I care less that you back up his illogicality here?

And why shouldn't I consider any name calling as a potential perspective? Those terms regarding depression we're not insults, but you regard them as such. Why? Are they clinically inaccurate? Are you not really also "sad"? Could your mood not be affected by chemical imbalance in every instance? Would it not profit you to look on the bright side in any depressive episode to heal you?

Technically, no, I didn't. Look again.Smile

And since when does finding no substance to a platitude illogicality?

No reason, if you are unconcerned with the effect it will have.

"Whiner" and "crybaby" are not insults?

(May 13, 2013 at 1:32 am)fr0d0 Wrote: Why? Are they clinically inaccurate?

Because of their implications. Labeling someone suffering from an illness as a "whiner" or a "crybaby" not only diminishes the severity of the condition, it implies that they should just suck it up and get over it, as if the problem is just a matter of not being such a wimp.

Sure, it is sadness, but that is not what I took issue with.

And no, I am not sad. I used to be. I have developed the skills over time to manage my depression very effectively. Wink

ETA: But let's not derail Chad's thread into another damn depression thread. If you want to continue this, feel free to PM me, or if you must, start another thread.

Yes, yes you did. You used his word to me to illustrate your point... his words being, to you, those things: "intolerant and illogical".

You've never toiled under a lack of opportunity to contest some conclusion I might reach about a statement you make. In fact I've practically begged you to contest this stuff, from our very first interaction...it's always been your choice to let it ride Frods.

(I maintain, of course, that it's not really much of a choice, you've simply made statements which you were incapable of backing up or elaborating upon..but hey..I could be wrong, care to contest?)

@ Apo, I don;t know if I know any secret, Frodo often mentions that he has me on ignore....but he still responds to me from time to time.......so...mileage may vary.

@tokutter, I'm flattered, but to be honest, Apo is much better at this than I am, I'd make the excuse that I'm fatigued and tired after so many posts.....but it would just be an excuse.

Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I can object. But then I get called a cry baby. I believe there's a line you shouldn't cross, and that a person deserves respect. But you can't force that on others.
