Refuting Evolution

RE: Refuting Evolution
Oh it's really quite easy once you get the knack. The trick is not to sleep for a few days, then sit in a comfy reclining leather pc chair and pop into Youtube wearing headphones to listen to one of those ten-hour rainstorm videos to relax the mind and ease a headache. Then you decide to lean back and rest your eyes for five minutes. The rest is automatic.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Ah... comfy reclining chair... I knew there was a reason why I avoided spending money on those! Wink

You sure dodged a bullet there! "No, not the comfy chair" indeed!

It's a little more precise than that, just to give you a pro-tip

Quote: would you like to explain in your own words at what point the ancestor of both humans and bananas existed?
Eukaryota, approx 1.6 billion years ago

Quote:What type of cells were formed that differentiated the two?

The basic cellular structure of life is much, much older and common to all life. The cell, is a very successful structure (the pro-tip above rears it's ugly head). Amusingly, different types of genes provide similar functions in dissimilar ways. For example, HOX in animalia puts a tail on one end and a head on another - whereas in plantae MADS box puts flowers on one end and roots on another. Animalia has MADS box - but doesn't use them to form patterns, whereas plantae has HOX - but doesn't use them to form patterns.

As opposed to the above, we see similarity, in that chromotin process is maintained between members of the two groups (in some cases with homologous structures after pattern formation -CLF in Arabidopsis/E(z) in flies).

Back to differences- cell signaling in the two groups is handled by different receptors (animals have receptors and signalling processes that plants do not possess-at all), and at the same time plants are capable of much greater horizontal transfer than animals (chloroplasts are an example of this sort of transfer which clearly occurs in plantae -via cynobacteria - but not animalia).

To sum it all up, that a common ancestry is apparent in these two groups is established both by homologous genetic structures and processes - and by what we understand of heredity ( common genetic material comes from -someplace- and the only someplace we're aware of is a common ancestor). What differentiates these two groups is not necessarily what they are composed -of- (as noted, the difference in composition between bananas and human beings is not so vast as some would imagine) - but how that composition is -arranged- (MADS box/HOX), and how it's components interact with each other(cell signaling/horizontal transfer).

The LCA of animalia and plantae was almost certainly a single celled organism (which rules some eukaryota out-but it must be eukaryota as far as we can determine), but beyond that point, development of structures was completely independent - even though the structures which arose from this development are often exceedingly similar.

1.Can you refute the existence of "endogeneous retrovirus" that Humans have in common with monkeys and primates ?
2.Can you refute that humans have 99% of DNA in common with chimpanzees ?
3.Can you refute that horses can't make a hybrid with a zebra ?
4.Can you refute that lions can't make a hybrid with a tiger ?
5.Can you prove that humans was made with clay (with others sources than religious sources) ?

1.For those who said no :

Quote:However, one family of viruses has been active since the divergence of humans and chimpanzees. This family, termed HERV-K (HML2), makes up less than 1% of HERV elements but is one of the most studied. There are indications it has even been active in the past few hundred thousand years, e.g., some human individuals carry more copies of the virus family than others

2.For those who said no : You have reason I confounded with monkeys.
Quote:The chimpanzee and another ape, the bonobo, are humans' closest living relatives. These three species look alike in many ways, both in body and behavior. But for a clear understanding of how closely they are related, scientists compare their DNA, an essential molecule that's the instruction manual for building each species. Humans and chimps share a surprising 98.8 percent of their DNA. How can we be so similar--and yet so different?

5.For those who said no : You have reason I don't know a scientist from 21th century who said that.

Cockroaches evolving to out smart traps.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-22611143

Quote:A strain of cockroaches in Europe has evolved to outsmart the sugar traps used to eradicate them.

American scientists found that the mutant cockroaches had a "reorganised" sense of taste, making them perceive the glucose used to coat poisoned bait not as sweet but rather as bitter.

A North Carolina State University team tested the theory by giving cockroaches a choice of jam or peanut butter.

They then analysed the insects' taste receptors, similar to our taste buds.

Researchers from the same team first noticed 20 years ago that some pest controllers were failing to eradicate cockroaches from properties, because the insects were simply refusing to eat the bait.

Minor point of clarification, cockroaches don't "evolve to outsmart traps" the only cockroaches fucking are the ones who didn't die in a trap -for whatever reason-.

They didn't "refuse" to eat the bait, they simply weren't attracted to the bait - not anything to do with the fact that it was bait- and so they survived while those that were attracted to the bait (again having no fucking clue that it was bait) died off.
