Why so negative? You have the potential for greatness not granted to non sentient beings.

Heh.. don't pretend like I hadn't already highlighted the haunting nature of our humanity:

Yeah, sure, I can achieve more than a cat in this "life", but I can also infinitely lose more than a cat for all eternity. Fair? I don't think so.

Quote:Cats don't get a pass at all. They are one dimensional.

Please elaborate.

God will judge only those individuals whose "container" is big enough such that the individual is "self-aware". These individuals happen to be the ones born into the human species. Judgement awaits us and not those individuals that were born as e.g. ants. It's an extremely unfair treatment of immaterial minds that seem a priori equal when not incarnated into a physical body.

Just to be clear I wasn't setting off on a justification of the lunacy of religion and the idea of judgement. I was actually just trying to understand the premise and then playing with it.

Maybe ants are judged - but none can ever fail - they do what they are supposed to do. You have to get to a certain level before you can fail.

Therefore - those masturbating dolphins are all in hell along with the vast majority of us and a few chimps.

Animals don't seem to have the notion of religion. How they would come to know the commandments seems like a bit of a mystery to me.

I believe we're all destined to reach heaven, once we've faced justice.

Animal don't get to go to heaven. 3 types of being: animals, angels, human animals/ material, spiritual, both.

Then Christianity seems incredibly trivial. Why not bypass all the suffering along the journey and get to the happy ending straight away?

I don't think an argument for non existence pans out Smile

I don't know what notions animals have but it probably is unlikely they have one of religion. What a pity we do.
