The movie Simon Birch, touching throughout.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. RE: Things that Touch You

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, the movie. Watched it on a plane, did not stop crying.
Old dogs. My dogs.
Sophie died a couple years ago. Made it to 15+. Brought her home as an itty bitty thing, the last puppy we've endured/delighted in. The picture of her in the middle was taken within weeks of her dying. We inherited Fletcher when Lia's aunt and uncle died since we put them up to getting another dog when they didn't think they'd be around for him. He made it to 4 with them and has gone 10 more years for us so far. The new kid on the block is Heidi Rose. |
