I'm curious as to why you would think that you would receive positive feedback from what you wrote, especially when the sub-context of your post is that we must all be consumed with pride and treat others as objects for not loving your god. You didn't back up any claims, and your conclusions aren't supported by your premises.
Besides, it's not as if you received any overtly negative feedback, either.
It makes me wonder then, what exactly were you hoping for?

Whoever will trust in the revealed meaning of truth will see His promised paradise where the free and infinite imagination of the Spirit of truth is the infinite realm of everything. Where this Spirit is never again threatened or offended there will be endless joy in free and endless creation. I don't understand. You obviously have to expect your belief to be unpopular in an atheist forum. No one (as far as I've read) have been mean to you because you hold that belief, we just don't believe it and we can't wait to tell you where you went wrong with your reasoning. Because while I can't speak for everyone here, I would LOVE to hear an argument for god that works, that would blow my mind. If you're uninterested in trading ideas or standing up for your convictions, then I'm not sure why you so openly advertised your belief.

We're about to be tortured in hell for all eternity and this is the best effort you give to explain it to us who are willing to hear?
Some friend you are!!
Hello Brakeman, Whilst I am trying to make my exit here I couldn't let this one slip by.
There is absolutely no biblical evidence whatsoever that man was born with an immortal soul as papal doctrine and Reformed doctrine would have us believe. On the contrary, there is clear biblical evidence that in the beginning man was made mortal with the ability to gain immortality.
God also explains that immortality is now dependent upon the knowledge and understanding of the revelation of Himself made through the life and work of the Lord Jesus. How a man reacts to that knowledge and understanding will determine how he spends the rest of eternity.
If you or anyone else here thinks they have biblical evidence that supports the view that every condemned soul will live in torment forever in “the lake of fire” then please show it here and I will gladly explain why that understanding is wrong.

And if we don't consider things in the bible as evidence?

Why take Biblical evidence so strongly? There's no reason to. In fact, there's strong reason against taking the Bible as evidence for anything.

Perhaps he was hoping his example would, Christlike, show us all the way to follow to salvation. (Right.)

Somehow "biblical" and "evidence" just don't seem to go well together, at least not until someone comes forward with some evidence for thinking the bible is more than a book of Jewish fables.

Let me rephrase what I wrote,
There are no Bible references telling us that man was born with an immortal soul as Roman Catholic and Reformed doctrine would have us believe. On the contrary, there are clear Bible references telling us that in the beginning man was made mortal with the ability to gain immortality.
The Bible also tells us that immortality is now dependent upon the knowledge and understanding of the revelation of the God revealed there. How a man reacts to that knowledge and understanding will determine how he will spend the rest of eternity.
If you or anyone else here think they have proof the Bible tells us every condemned soul will live in torment forever then tell us where those Bible references are.
Anyone who says the Bible tells us every man has been given an immortal soul is clearly not speaking the truth.

Dear Old man,
What do you believe hell is, and why it exists, how it came to exist, and why people MUSt be sent there? Is it eternal, please give biblical evidence to support your claim of it not being so?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I have no beef with what the bible says. My issue is with what the bible is. It's just one book amongst many and I see no reason to believe it is the word of any supernatural genie - even if it says exactly that. You believe the bible is the word of God, but when I ask you why you think that you reply "because the bibles says so". Can you see the circularity in that?
