Attn: Theists - What would it take to prove you wrong?

The current understanding is - physics. That is a reason. Physics. Sorry it's not mystical enough for you. Atheists tend to deny an existential purpose outside of science.

If God doesn't exist then what does? It will have to be eternally existent matter/energy by itself. There won't be a cause or reason for it it's just there as it is.

Where did "physics" come from? It just exists for no reason is what you're saying. I'm saying God created and finely engineered the laws of physics and that's why the universe exists. I'd say God is better because you have a reason for what we can actually observe to exist, rather than it being just there for no reason without an explanation. You also have an explanation for why the laws of physics are as apparently as finely tuned as they are. You have to say this was all random or something.

It wasn't random or something. Physics works in a predictable manner. The laws of physics exist because... we don't know yet, big fucking deal, I'm not making a claim to know where physics came from or saying it came from itself or nothing. But physics DOES have a basis in mathematics, where there are many answers to be found.

And WHAT, exactly, is "fine tuned" ? Shit smashes together and gravity, etc makes it a spherical, albeit not perfect, object? There are stars and shit? What?

Or there could be an answer we just don't know yet. You proposing a wrong answer doesn't mean the only other option is nothing at all. Keeping an open mind isn't a weakness. Quit the false dichotomies.

Where did god come from, pokey? You wanna actually answer that question?

So you're just desperate for any answer, regardless of whether it's true or not?

So it was intentionally planned with a purpose in mind? We're on the same page here then.

Because that's the way God engineered it to be to begin with! Good grief , argh!

I understand you think that it is obvious that when people die they cease to exist. I am just asking these very basic questions so that I am not accused of assuming anything.

If you desire to answer the above question I will be grateful. I also have another one to ask if you do decide to answer it.

Do you know what this is to us, until you actually demonstrate that your god even exists? It's just a vastly less interesting Just So story.

So if something is not random, it is intentionally planned by a higher power? Yeah, just keep sprinkling gawd on anything you don't understand.
