The Last Movie You Watched
RE: The Last Movie You Watched
Iron Man 3. I'm a sucker for peeps in robot suits, so this was a winner for me. It's a fun way to pass an evening.

Or possibly the last movie I watched was Berserk: Descent, which... if anyone's familiar with that franchise... ends on possibly the bleakest downer note it could have. Tongue

I purchased the Star Trek: Next Generation movies on Blu-ray to have First Contact and Generations. I haven't made up my mind on the movies from the original series, but if I did buy them, it would be for the movies Wrath Of Khan and The Voyage Home. I like both movies, but Star Trek IV was such a sappy movie, I'm hesitant to indulge, even though I'll likely be glad that I did.

Generations is usually considered a bit crappy, but I like it and it's a way of introducing the TNG crew to the movie world, while signing off the original cast.

First contact goes back to sappy crappy.... with the borg! It feels like a constant "prime directive what?!"... on the people of Earth itself!

I just saw Kick Ass for the first time and now I'm on my way to Kick Ass2 in the theater Big Grin

First Contact is my absolute favorite Picardesque movie. That said I still get embarrassed to the Max during the skin scene. Ouch.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I went out and saw "In a World" today, with Rob Corddry, Fred Melamed and Lake Bell.
