You'll have to do better than that Drich.

It would have been proof positive that man couldn't do anything he wanted to (as in reach God). They wouldn't have got more than 30 stories before the building collapsed due to limitations of the building materials.

How long would it have taken them off the path? A year, 10?
It was a project doomed to failure- they couldn't reach God.

I also like to note, why did got fear what the people of Babel were doing? I mean he is god right? It seems God was wanting to hold them back because he was afraid......maybe he was an alien and afraid of a unified earth.....(plot thickens.)
