We were half trying to have a civilized conversation...

It is contempt, not hatred. Letting him know how contemptible he has become is the most civilized thing that could be done to him.

Some of us were trying to educate him... even if he didn't want it.. he'd get some of it, at least, by osmosis!

To biblical literalists, osmosis only works in the form of last drops of residual intelligence leaching out, never rudimentary understanding of reality sneaking in.

ah... do not be so hasty in generalizing...
Although, in general, I have to agree. Wink

You're still here then? You're starting to remind me heavily of a spammer on the Amazon atheist forums who was convinced he could link two events through numerology and claim god did it.

Is your name Brad and do you live in Miami by any chance?
No creator in the heavens above (I am the lightning)
Rest your weary mind
No demons in the furnace below (I am the frenzy)
I have realized I AM GOD

I'm guessing that all science is wrong, unless it were to show that there was a guy named Jesus who lived some 2000 years ago, then science is infallible.

I never said that all science is wrong. Just the false origin science part.

I love science. I just do not like false science.

Shame you haven't been able to give any examples then isn't it?

So just the bits that disagree with your book, I think we established that.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

In general, I would say yes although what that may mean is not always obvious.

Right, you just hate all science which disagrees with your religion. Good luck with that.
