Well, hold on, catfish: I distinctly recall arguing with Drich over a modern witch-burning, where his defense was that the person that was burnt could have been practicing witchcraft. Making assumptions about this shit puts you on shaky ground.
So what? His post in this thread is clear that he doesn't know for sure.

There are witches, though typically they don't do anything in Satan's name... most of them don't believe in Satan. They're typically neo-pagans and as such believe in one or more deities from ancient Greek, Roman, Hindu, Egyptian, or other mythologies. Rarely do you see any of them performing ritual sacrifice or doing anything else remotely evil.

I'm hoping this was Drich's idea of a joke. It's not easy to tell; one kind of belief in magic vs. another after all.

I'm not too worried about anyone using witchcraft on my family since I have no reason to think such a thing would be worth a single concern.
Now, if someone came barreling into my front door trying to kill us all with like, weapons and shit, I'd be pretty pissed. Killing those intruders would not necessarily be a bad thing since there is a real threat and we have a will to survive.

Witch, unaffiliated criminal or filthy christian - makes no difference. The result is the same. If you are tormenting my family, I will put an end to you. If you're concerned about the morality of killing people who are offending you I would simply direct you to read the book of Joshua, Drich.
As for the ethical and moral implications of it all: I'll just pretend to be a devout Christian and thank the good lord for giving me the victory over my foes. The Bible is VERY useful when killing people.

Well first I would have to see unexplainable calamities coming on my family members while also knowing that a person was both claiming to be a witch and causing the calamities. In that case I would first find another witch to attack that witch.
If that didn't work I'd go to the old standby...

Oh yey! A Drich thread!
The question should not be whether it would be bad to kill a witch, rather would it be acceptable to kill someone who is tormenting your family. The person could be atheist and if she tried to torture my family, she's dead.
Now if you want to ask me... Ivy, but say it was clear that it was not natural what was being done? I'd question if I was sane. I'd question what was in my dinner. I'd question my medication if any. I'd question. Unless there was no time and my family and I could die. Kill now, face institution later. Self defense, self defense, self defense.
I have seen and heard a lot about things that seem not natural, but as I said to a friend earlier this week: The fact that I don't know does not lead me to say "therefore, god", or in this case, witch.
Pointing around: "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you, I'm out!"

I think it's fair to say that the general consensus is that whether or not someone is a witch is irrelevant when discussing the morality of killing

Which really gives you great insight into Drich's mind and how it operates.

In the Spirit of Halloween the family and I like to watch scary movies and the two new ones we've seen are "the conjouring" and the new rob zombie Salem witch/Rose Mary's baby cross over thing. Both with out giving anything away had to do with witches/people who acted on the behalf of demonic forces. Killing, tormenting, and feeding off of others. This was done for the most part supernaturally. So part one of my question is if you and your family were being tormented as these two movies depict would you be justified in killing a witch in this day and age? What about 2 to 3 hundred years ago?
Second part what if a group of witches were tormenting, killing members of your family or pets and generally feeding off of the torment and terror they visited upon you using non supernatural means? Again in this day and age or what about 200 years ago?
In short where does the modern sense of morality draw the line, or is their no line because the desire to be politically correct has one negate common sense/self defense because these people gather and worship under a P/C protected religion?
In the spirit of halloween I love it Drippy. Now lets go In the Spirit of a Fake God Being Real how would you prove his existence?.
For a start when I was a Christian you watching those movies - Shame on you and secondly even opening to those questions is bull shit.
For a start there is no such thing as Witches / Demons / Evil / God or Satan. Now what I will conclude is that we are all energy in this Universe so what a Witch does for spells is propbably some advanced form of energy manipulation.
Common do you really think a loving God would let a Christian be subjected to a which like the movie the 'Conjuring proposes'
