Six-ish towards some god or God of some sort being real. Seven towards the typical stack of contradictory omni-attributes many people say they believe in that is clearly the result of people claiming their God is better than the next person's until someone finally said 'Oh yeah? Weill my God is INFINITY more powerful, wise, and benevolent than yours!' Because it clearly isn't the product of contemplation and profound thought.

I think if you're talking with a theist the Dawkins scale can be helpful in gauging the degree to which your worldviews differ. If the Atheist is a 7 and the Theist is a 1, the conversation isn't going to go anywhere, just walk away before you facepalm so hard you hit the guy behind you.

I'm a solid 6; as certain there are no gods as I am that Freddy Krueger isn't going to kill me in my sleep tonight.

I think these atheist scale numbers that keep popping up are just an attempt to provide a secular replacement for astrological signs. "You're a Dawkins level 7?! Me too!!"

Depends on which religion you're referring to, so monotheism (Judaism/Christianity/Islam/Sikhism) gets a 6.something, whilst other stuff pulls me towards a 5, principally based on how little I've been able to research the available material.
