Why are atheists disrespectful?

Well, atheists are not disrespectful. At least not in person. I'm sure that they talk alot within their own and over the internet, but I'm sure IRL, they're laid back and not too active in evangelising, i.e. openly challenging people on the streets on in their places of worship.

Take this from me, that I'm tame. I consider to be a tame anti-religion atheist. Tame, because I'm not a bully and I step on bullies toes. Anti-religious, because religion is venom and I don't want it anywhere near my kids. Atheist, because I don't believe in any gods. I'm also a-santa I don't believe in Santa.

Why are we rude? I don't consider it rude to express ourselves in our forums, facebook pages, homes, hang outs, etc. We are expressing ourselves. If we think your faith is delusional, we will talk about it, make fun of it, complain about it, etc. Christians think a lot of what we do is sin. Don't you have sermons that talk about this in church? Don't you discuss it with your friends? Quick, tell yourselves again how I'm going to hell because your god loves me.

In my case, I'm not rude to people to their face unless they call for it. If you get in my face and tell me I'm nasty for liking women, I'm a bad parent for not baptizing my child, or for anything at all, I will make sure you know how incredibly stupid I think your beliefs are and how dangerous they are to society. If you try to brainwash my kids to believe in your godly delusions, I will make sure you get a clear picture of what I think of your hallucinations and fairytales. Don't step on my toes and I leave you alone.

That includes gay marriage. I'm passionate about this. Christians need to stay the fuck out of people's sex life and get one of their own.

I love it when Christians come here to Atheist Forums to complain about our lack of tolerance. They're here. They got in. They're complaining about us in our field. Wackos.

Exactly. If you take criticism of your beliefs and ideas as an attack on you as a person, it speaks volumes more about you and your insecurities than it does about me. I literally don't care about your gods, your magic Christs, your fan fap fiction, or anything else relating to whatever silly imaginings you have, except inasmuch as they impinge on the lives of others. If we're talking about disrespect, one only needs to flick back through these past few pages and see just who thinks that humans are foul and wicked, and threatening others with burning for the capital crime of their thoughts not conforming to the doctrine of hatred. I haven't seen atheists talking about anything even approaching that.

Why are atheists disrespectful?
Some argue that they are not and I totally agree that some atheists are respectful, conservative, and contribute to our society. But then, I scroll through the internet finding disrespectful images, blogs, and videos that bash on Christians.
Why do disrespectful atheists ask for respect when they don't give it back?
Do you guys all remember the golden rule?
Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
The golden rule isn't even religious based. It's just a culture-based morality that follows the guidelines of many (if not all) religions.
It makes me upset and flustered when atheists complain about not getting respect when in reality, they don't return it.....
Anyways, just my thoughts.
