I'm a 7 on all theistic gods that I know of.

RE: Any Level 7's out there?
I have considered myself a 6.9+ for some time.

I suppose I am a 7 on most of the gods I have ever heard of. They cannot logically exist as described.

Of course, the descriptions are all made-up, so there's that. Thinking
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

RE: Any Level 7's out there?
I'm a 7 and happy to be one.

Even if there WAS a god I'd reject it as being undeserving of my worship. IF one existed, it would be omnipotent, as defines a "god." It would be capable of affecting all, in other words, it would be capable of affecting my life, and therefore must have been, which would mean it was responsible for a tremendous deal of suffering I would otherwise have been happy never experiencing, and perhaps I would be far more "normal," or as I prefer, "balanced." Guilty either by direct affair or by standing by and doing nothing; I (would) care not for whatever the god's/gods' plan/plans were/are. I am mortal and puny and small; what do I care if by my suffering, 500 years down the road it butterfly-effect's and makes some kid be born with brown eyes instead of green?

But there is no evidence for any god. As the estimate goes, 10,000 gods, no proof for any of them, but widescale dismissal of most of them and yet their supposedly one-time all-powerful wrath never came to bear. Same with the current crop.

I know there is no god or gods because there is no reason for god and god as defined necessarily MUST have a reason. You can only be told something so many times before you realize that every time you hear it, it's a lie.

If there IS a god, maybe it should've been a little more all-knowing and made its existence perfectly clear as opposed to letting 10,000 imposters run amok among our species' sapient thought processes. If it really has beef with me stating it does not exist, it can feel free to smite me as hard and as obviously-god's-vengeance as it would like.

It seems to not. I can either conclude it does not care about what I do or do not believe, or it's simply not there. I choose to conclude that it does not exist, based on prior experiences across our entire species constantly showing hundreds of thousands of times over that all religious claims and beliefs are bullshit.

They say there is no certainty in science; that anything can change.

But yet I'm EXTREMELY certain that, say, young-earth creationism is 100% bullshit.

This is, of course, an emotional standpoint, not my far-more-boring intellectual one, which is to say that my "knowledge" standpoint acknowledges that I can only go to 99.999~% certainty here.

But sometimes, you just gotta go with what you feel. And I for one feel tired of being lied to.

There. Is. No. Gods. I reject them all, and I reject all future claims as well. Future DEMONSTRATIONS that give credible evidence for a god or gods, I will accept as they deserve. But all claims are rejected until then, and I will maintain that there is no gods.

Very well put, Creed.
“To terrify children with the image of hell, to consider women an inferior creation—is that good for the world?”

Define god. The question answers itself.
