No atheist are misanthropes who think that animals are the most important. I saw one of the atheist leaders The Amazing stupid Atheist say humans are evolution's acident. So I am generally curious as to why an atheist would care if animals kill what you ppl see as evolutonary mistakes.

Hey Lek, are you afraid that if you don't repeat- like some form of magic chant- that god is just every time you have to respond to an example of clear unjust behavior from him, that you'll actually find yourself considering the situation and maybe, just maybe, stop believing it?

The reason that I keep repeating that god is just, is because you all keep saying that a loving god wouldn't do such things. And I keep saying that he's loving because loving beings (such as parents) can administer just punishment to children and still love them. Of course, you disagree with the severity of the punishment, but they were warned specifically what would happen before hand. Every time he'd send out a prophet to warn people they would mistreat and often kill him. We're talking about a crime against God. There's different implications. Yes, God is someone to be feared. It seems like you think that God is a one dimensional cream puff (Yes, I've said this before.), but he's not just what you want him to be. He does punish for wrongs. That doesn't mean he's not loving, but he is the boss. By the way, the passage doesn't say "children", but rather "youths". I'm thinking more likely teens or young adults.

But, again, how do you KNOW he is just?

We know he is just because he gives us a chance for eternal happiness even when we donot desirve it. He is merciful even when ppl kill his followers and is pateint until the day of death for salvation. He punishes evil just as you would punish a bad child by separation from joy. A child sent to their room to think about their evil doings is synonymous with hell.

So let me get this straight, God can punish whoever he wants however he wants because he is like a parent? So if a parent says to their child, "go to bed or I will set the dogs on you" then the child stays up & the parent watches them get mauled to death by dogs, that is perfectly moral? If you honestly believe what you are saying then you are morally retarded.

Except when I was young & my mother sent me to my room she never exposed me to fire. Nor did she confine me for all eternity.

I know he's just (and yes, loving) because I believe his son Jesus Christ who demonstrated this to us through his life and death. I believe the witnesses who wrote the gospels and the apostles who walked with him and went on to be persecuted and killed because of their faith in him. Do you believe any historians who wrote about ancient events? They're all biased you know, we all are. And finally, yes, I believe because of the work he's done in my life. No, I can't prove it scientifically, just as you can't prove scientifically that life evolved from inanimate material. But I believe it for good reasons.
