Experiences I still can't explain YET

I wish someone at least had a plausible theory as to what it was. Everyone I've ever told about it was dumbfounded. My wife didn't believe me until I took her directly to my dad and let her hear the same story from him.

I have a story that I would like some opinions on.
28 years ago I was driving down the road at night. My father was in the passenger seat. A ball of light about the size of a soccer ball that was orange / yellow flew out of the sky in front of my car. The ball matched the exact speed and direction of the car and maintained a distance of 10 feet or so in front of the windshield. It stayed with the car for about a quarter of a mile and the flew off into the sky at an amazing speed. My father and I had no idea what this was then and still don't have a clue. I have considered ball lighting but this thing moved with the car like it had a purpose. I mean this thing made course corrections when the car changed speed or when around a curve. The ball was not overly bright either.
Any ideas?

I suppose that's what it was but the thing that got me was that it went along with the car. That was really strange. It acted like an alien probe that was studying us but I doubt that is what it was. I guess it was attracted to the car due to the metal.

1.) when I was 11 we, my mother and I went to visit my great grandparents' farm. They lived in what has to be the smallest town imaginable, Puckleberry AK population 739. Well on our way there about 2 hours away from the farm we saw a "white out". Me and my mum saw this flash of white light that blinded us for only a second then it was gone. There is no electricity or indoor plumbing on my grandparents farm. The only way you'd be able to that you haven't stepped into the early 1900's is my grandfather's car. And the road we were on was empty accept for us.

I had the same experience- white flash out of absolutely nowhere. Except it wasn't anything supernatural or weird at all. My cousin happened to hit me in the face with a baseball bat. I woke up with a black eye and bloody nose.

When I was in college walking home from the gym in a t-storm one night a flash of lightning hit so close that the sky turned white...like a photographic negative. The sound was instantaneous with the flash.

It's a good thing my pants were already wet.

I had that happen once to me as well, but I was driving.

I've experienced sleep paralysis off and on for probably 15 years now. I didn't know what it was for the longest time, and it got to the point that I was afraid to go to sleep because I thought I was going to die. Now that I fully understand it, when it happens, I don't struggle and panic as much and I'm able to fall back to full sleep sooner. Very terrifying, especially if you don't know what's going on.

If it happens so often, you can see a doc and get treatment for it.


Yea, the thing about sleep paralysis is when you don't know what's going on, it's terrifying.

I don't know what the treatment would be, but before I knew what "this" was, I wore a holter monitor on two separate occasions. Both were a waste of time because I never experienced it while wearing the monitors. The sleep doctor I went to, after I knew that what I was experiencing was sleep paralysis, wanted to set me up with a sleep study. I never went back. My episodes happen so sporadically, I don't think there is a way to "capture" it. I can go for many months without an episode, or I can have two back to back...
