RE: How Do You Waste Your Time on the Internet?

I'm here quite a lot. It's new and cool. I like (most) of you peeps. I also spend time at Kahn Academy, I check my feeds (mostly NPR, Digg, XKCD, C&H, Buzzfeed, etc), and sometimes I do some youtuberbating, mostly music. But since my girlfriend, boydog, and new job require most of my time, all that gets scaled back. I feel guilty when I spend too much time online.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I'm in. We should pick a time and a level and go for it. We Muricans don't get to play for real money, but we can kick your theist asses with play money.
I want to walk the dogs right now but could play in an hour and a half. That would be 7 pm Pacific Standard time. How about we play go into whatever 10,000 chip game of TH is filling at exactly 7 pm? Or .. ? I'll check back here after I walk the mutts and see if there is any action. My avatar at Pokerstars is the same picture of old Fletcher I use here, but the username is Fletcherdog1.

For me it's mainly facebook, AF, reddit and youtube. Although I sometimes check out my fantasy football scores and skysports news.

Looking up books on amazon and reading the preview chapters; I got half-way through We Two: Victoria and Albert: Rulers, Partners, Rivals by Gillian Gill before I bought it. I also read about a quarter of Nicholas and Alexandra by Robert K. Massie (I think) before I bought it. Both are really great books.
Researching mormonism (but only in little spurts as extended time spent in this regard causes keyboards and computer monitors to inexplicably go hurtling across the room. I don't know why...)
Building unrealistic wishlists on homedepot.com to remodel a house I don't yet own.
Also, I spend a lot of time writing to my mormon penpal about Harry Potter stuff. Our current bone of contention is whether one is born knowing how to fly a on a broomstick or whether one acquires the skill through practice . Which reminds me, I have a really long email to reply to...
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.

I'm all burned out from Mormonism. I have to deal with so many of those assholes at my work. (It was a bad day for me when word got out that I used to be one.)

You have just volunteered to be my "This makes no sense, explain it to me!" go-to person.

I'm okay with being that guy, as that's my role for the non-Mormons that work with me. Most of the time they just want to vent about how weird our LDS staff members are.
I'll tell you right away that I can do my best to offer an explanation, but if something doesn't make sense, then any explaining it is usually a fruitless endeavor.

It's half-and-half. It's like the talent to draw some people have to learn how to draw and some people can pick up a pencil and create the Mona Lisa. Long-live Harry Potter!
But you do have to have magic to make the broomstick work
