I know you guys don't believe in hell, but can you guys help me, as a believer, not fear it so much? Because right now it dominates my life.

Fear of hell

That's what you get for worshiping an angry, vengeful god.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
-Stephen Jay Gould
Well, what specifically is the fear?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

God is evil. Isn't it a bit unfair to be punished for pointing out the obvious? When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Don't fear, and don't believe in things who's existence is non-demonstrated and non-demonstrable. Easier said than done. What you're afraid of is the equivalent to a child being afraid of monsters under the bed.
There is a simple solution to this. Stop believing in hell. Even if God exists, if he is fair and just, he won't let souls be tortured for eternity for minor offenses on Earth, or for simply being born.
