Thanks for recognizing my effort. Bro, I see no contradictions since I know somewhat the background of verses too. But if you point the contradictions you think then I am here for you.

Sorry LoG, that isn't true:
The Prophet asked Abu Bakr for 'Aisha's hand in marriage. Abu Bakr said "But I am your brother." The Prophet said, "You are my brother in Allah's religion and His Book, but she (Aisha) is lawful for me to marry."
He was initially against the marriage, Mo had to persuade him.

Subhan Ahmed, for every verse from the Qu'ran you quote preaching peace and tolerance, there are 2 or 3 preaching death to the infidel.
Just studying the Qu'ran it's obvious that most of the stories have been stolen, the laws are all mainly old arab laws, with a few jewish and christian ideas thrown in. Here are just a few:
- Moses and the fish - from Arabic folk tales about search for eternal life. May be originally from Babylon - the Babylonian Ugarit texts has a very similar story about the god El (not unknown in and around Arabia).
- Muhammad’s Night Journey to Heaven - read about different such travels in Jewish Merabah mysticism or even more the Gnostic “Enoc’s Journy to Heaven” (nearly identical to Ibn Ishaq’s by Islam accepted story after Abu Said al-Chudri).
- The sleepers in the cave - the even today well known religious fable from Ephesus, about the 7 youths that fled from emperor Decius (a real emperor reigning only 2 years around 250 AD) and went to sleep in a cave, and then woke up maximum 196 years later (the Quran says 300 or 309 years) under the more well known emperor Theodosius). Just read it - it normally even is better told than in the Quran.
- Alexander the Great/Duh’l Quarnayn - anyone knowing the story of Alexander; read this part oft Surah 18 and weep - or laugh. Copycatting at its most naïve. (He f. ex. was no Muslim, he never went west - this we know from history - there no place in the world was enough iron blocks to close off a whole valley around 330 BC, etc.).
- The 7 heavens. Originally from Greek and Persian wrong astronomy, but quite likely via the Zohar and/or the Hagigah.
- The raven and Cain. This is to be found in "The Targum of Jonathan ben Uzziah" and also in "The Targum of Jerusalem". Muhammad "borrowed" from many places.
- Abraham delivered from Nimrod's fire. Taken from "Midrash Rabbah". And another point: Abraham and Nimrod did not live at the same time (if they ever lived). Muhammad had a strong tendency to mix persons from different times (f. ex. Haman and Ramses II - some 800 years wrong. Or Mary and Miriam - some 1200 years wrong.)
All of the above copy and pasted, google is our friend. There are literally hundreds of otehrs, but i'm lazy and cannot be arsed looking for any more.
The teachings in your book may talk of events from 4 or 5 thousand years ago, but Islam IS the youngest of the major religions, you can flower it up any way you want. Sorry mate.
Also, I do have one question for you, could you tell me your views on sex with minors? By minors, I mean under-age girls? I'm not trying to offend, I have a genuine want to know how you view that subject.
Thanks

It's ok, I know more about Islam than your doctors of divinity. I can guide him also, no problem lol. You don't need to pray 5x a day to describe a thing to someone. If you have the knowledge, you can do it, your own Qur'an says this right?
[16:43] "Ask the people of Dhikr [the Scholars] if you don't know"
Ask the people who know, those having the best knowledge. You should therefore know that a Muslim who prays 5x a day is biased, therefore, his non-objective view of the subject renders him the least precise in describing the religion. It won't be any more precise than an atheist who knows nothing of Islam and heard rumors on CNN, because his view is non-objective also.

I could answer this in 3,000 pages and not be done. You need to ask something more specific.

Biasness is natural when it comes to any belief. You are either a believer or an unbeliever. An unbeliever will think that a believer is biased. A believer will think that the unbeliever is biased.
You say that a person who prays 5 times is not reliable to know about Islam. Brother, don't be offended but I think a person who has kept a rather insulting signature picture showing his or her attitude against Islamic knowledge is also unreliable.

Nope, I read the whole Quran and confidently say that we are not ordered to kill any infidels unless they start killing the innocent (either muslim or non muslim), spread corruption, evil and oppression. I would still like you to quote the verses you are talking about other then the verses that deals with warfare. I have already posted a detail explanation the concept of Islamic warfare.
God however warns the infidels again and again that He will seperate good from bad. God says that He is indeed present and is looking over you. Think honestly that a person of rejects this whole system (accountability in after life and heaven and hell based on that etc.) of God, His teachings and Prophets and all this do turns out to be true (just suppose for understanding), does such a person deserves the fruits of this system? You don't even get a software if you don't accept the terms and agreements.
On the other hand, if you believe in God and the day of accountability (judgement). You do good, spread good and refrain from major evils and be patient then God will respect your efforts and will make you successful in afterlife.
For me core of Islam is this one statement:
Faithful and Unfaithful, Good and evil can NEVER EVER be EQUAL.
Since they are not equal, they will not end up as equal.

Like I said Quran is essentially the same message taught by Moses and Jesus (Peace be upon them). You can search the net and literally you will also find thousands of well detailed explanations on it. So it comes down to your own conscious choice which explanation you accept. The word of Quran never claimed to be new. It mostly cleansed the already established concepts that got corrupted over the time.

It is ok bro First don't just take sex into picture. Sex without marriage is fornication in Islam and a great sin and evil deed. To establish a relation including sexual relation with a girl, you first have to marry her. The marriage is done not to just fulfill your lust and then divorce the girl. Marriage takes place ultimately with the consent of the girl and boy both with a sincere intention to form a household in which husband has the responsibility to provide food, shelter and clothes to wife. Wife can do that too but she is not obligated to do it.
The minimum age of boy and girl is when they reach their puberty. For boy it is his first ejaculation and for girl is her first menstruation which is usually when the girl's age is 9 to 13. Before her puberty, any sexual relation is illegal in Islam.
I know age of 9 does not sound preferable to have sexual relation with a girl but preferable and illegal is two different concepts. Still if the family and girl is willing then it is fine. Minimum age of marriage for girl is different in different countries ranging from 14 to 20 years. Every country has its own basis to define "under age". For Islam the base is puberty when male and female can reproduce. Before that is prohibited.
I suddenly got some busy days ahead so I might not be able to give detailed explanations. Thank You

Peace
Hanging a carcass head down effectively drains the blood. And what is the big deal about blood anyways?

Bro,if you are curious about Islam then ask an Islamic scholar who could guide you. Do you think this is the right place to explore Islam?
Anyways, what can I tell you is that Islam is a religion as well as a code of life that contains guidelines for every aspect of human life. The fundamental of these guidelines is peace, mercy, justice and forgiveness.
It is the oldest religion which started when Adam and Eve (peace be upon them) were sent to earth and completed with the last last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Between this time, many other prophets came like Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) and spread the message of God that was essentially the same.
A muslim believes and has faith in only one God. He or she acknowledges all the prophets from Adam to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon him). We believe in the "unseen" like angles, jinns and fate. We also believe in the day of judgement when EVERY single person will be answerable to his or her actions he or she did during the life time. No only one will be accountable for other's actions. On the basis of every individuals own actions, God will separate good and evil people forever (you know very well that good and bad is living together in this world right now). Good and virtuous people will have eternal heaven while the evil and arrogant will be in eternal hell. So life here is temporary and we all have to return one day to God. This life is a test to prove who you really are and what are you worth.
Bro, I will again suggest you to seek a muslim scholar for a better understanding. Thank You.
You are fucking delusional. We know when and how Islam started, and we also know there was no Adam and Eve.
(May 8, 2014 at 9:21 pm)Subhan Ahmad Wrote: Bro, first of all I hope that you are asking questions with a sincere intention to understand a muslim belief so we can understand each other's point of view. I am not a muslim scholar. I will try to be as helpful as I can be and will explain as accurately as my knowledge allows me.
Bro the value and importance of single human life in islam can be understood from this verse:
"Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors." (5:32)
Fuck off, you lying cunt.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

In Islam there is no room for the separation of church and state. Islam is a specific doctrine for how the state should be run. Where as most other religions have come around to the reality of the benefits of a secular state. In addition Islam is an obvious fraud. So much of their doctrine is obviously made up by a male in the middle east in the middle ages. Take for instance the fasting from dawn til dusk in Ramadan. Well because the Islamic calendar is lunar, Ramadan changes season periodically. Therefore sometimes Ramadan falls in the summer. Do you expect Swedish with 20 hours of daylight to just not eat for a whole month? A pretty dumb oversight for an almighty God, but an obvious one for a male from a place in the world where daylight doesn't vary that much. Islam is full of such inconsistencies that simply couldn't be made by an omnipotent being. Mind you all of this is without mentioning the obvious stereotypes about terrorism, rape, the repression of women, etc.
Your diatribe in both unhelpful and inaccurate. You can hate all religions if you wish. I think they are all fairy stories. However you do Christianity a disservice: it has lots of blood on its hands too. I could quite easily list the pain and suffering meted out by Christianity but I don't think it will impact on your attitude. The separation of Church and state is not inherent in Christianity - it was something fought for. Islam also for many centuries had a separation of religion and state. Islam gives guidance ( the technical term is fatwa) on matters of fasting in northern climes. There are a whole range of advisory fatwas issued by Muslim theologians when problems are seen to arise in the practice of that faith.
I'm an atheist, but I think one should reject religions based on (accurate) knowledge not ignorance. The original post asked about Islam, so why not an appropriate book or list the basic beliefs of Muslims etc.
