A fertilized egg is a zygote. A zygote is an organism. If it is a human zygote, then that organism is a human being.

So, a single cell is a human being? So viability is meaningless for you?

Instead of arguing badly and wasting everyone's time, why didn't you just state that this was your position?
If you honestly believe that, you needn't defend it with absurd arguments as you have done.
Just stand on it as your belief.

Argument is of no value against a position of faith, as yours is.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Negative,

Your brain has turned to mush Chas,

I already said a while back that my position is that it is morally wrong to give some human beings the choice to kill other human beings.

And we said that a single cell isn't a human being and gave very good reasons for that view.
That pretty much ends the discussion as you refuse to acknowledge the merit of any other position and could not rationally justify yours.

You gave crappy reasons and made crappy arguments....and then you act surprised when I am unconvinced.

A zygote meets the definition of an organism. Therefore a human zygote is a human being. Its in your biology text book(well, your biology text was probably a clay tablet) under life cycle of a human being. If you don't believe me....look it up.

Using some ridiculous teenage phrase when you've been proven wrong shows us all how mature and intelligent you are. And yes your level of ignorance and arrogance is enough to make anyone mad.

No, a zygote does not meet the definition. An organism is independent.

A human being has a nervous system.

Well then Chas, you are not an organism cause you are not independent. You rely on bacteria in your gut.

Anyways, I done rehashing this. You're just too incredulous.

A human being has a nervous system.

And is self aware, can feel pain, has wants, needs and desires.

When are you going to get it? I'm not interesting in debating with you Esquilax. I have given you several chances but you keep employing low-brow insulting tactics.

Maybe when you mature a bit we can have an honest discussion.

No no, I get it: you're an intellectual coward who can't handle the- justly deserved- derision your posts merit, and so in a desperate scrabble to avoid losing face to someone who actually knows what they're doing, you pretend that disagreement is the same as insult.

I've insulted you- actually insulted you- all of once, weeks ago now, and then as now you proceeded to harp on the couple of curse words I used as an excuse not to answer the actual argument. But "you used a bad word!" isn't a rebuttal, and "you're not treating me with the respect I feel I deserve!" misses the point that respect is earned, not freely handed out. You've repeatedly shown a disinterest in actual discourse over simply spewing your assertions in every post; what's more insulting, the man who makes his feelings known, or the one who won't even take the conversation seriously, and thus refuses to engage in it beyond "this is my position, nyah nyah!"?

Besides, we're all adults here; if you can't take a little verbal rigor I suggest you're in the wrong place. The mature thing to do is to respond to the content of my argument while couching your own response in as hostile a manner as you like. We can take as good as we give, around here, so long as the argumentation is solid.

I'll tell you what isn't the mature thing to do, though: showing off your blatant hypocrisy by refusing to rebut an argument that's been made, citing my insulting manner to do it, and then filling your non-response with enough condescension and insinuated insults to fill a Republican convention. Dodgy
