Let's assume that Hitler was God, knowing that he existed does that make you want to worship him if it meant spending eternity with him after you die?

"The one described in the Bible"
but, is that the cafeteria bible so widely used today where only the convenient verses apply to the 'believers' and ALL the verses apply to the pagans, heathens, sinners, queers, liberals, union members, and uppity women ??

I used to truly believe there was a god and he was the god of the bible. I "defiantly" rejected him a little over a year before I was brave enough to branch out and learn some science and accept that he wasn't real. So yea, been there done that, got the tshirt.

The tyrannical psychopathic god as described in the bible is not worthy or acknowledgement or worship.

Its a depressing thought.
I'd accept he existed but he doesn't seem worthy of worship. After all, 30% of all the angels in heaven can't be wrong.....

This is such a stupid fucking question.
I've been on this forum for nearly two years, in which I lay out in great detail precisely why I think the Christian god is just about the worst fictional villain humanity ever invented, and you think I'd just up and change my mind about that assessment if he turned out not to be fictional?
Hell no. The idea of eternity with your god strikes me as even more terrifying than hell.

My response would probably have to be akin to Russell's whereby he asks 'god' why he took such pains to hide himself.

I would not 'defiantly' reject his offer, I would 'rightly', 'ethically' and 'justly' reject his offer because it's the worst kind of totalitarianism.

Theists and their slight of hand remarks eh?
It's like they don't think we pick up on the nuanced way they structure their sentences to imply everyone who disagrees with them is automatically at fault.
