Personally I don't waste my time trying to convince anyone. Feels too much like proselytizing. Don't get me wrong, if a discussion comes up I make my position known, combat fallacies, and present evidence for theories if they are discussed. If someone wants to believe in erroneous bullshit then more power to 'em, I only have a problem when they try and introduce said bullshit into law or hurt/oppress others with it.

It can be difficult for those brought up in a religion to change their views.

Some creationists don't accept anyone who accepts evolution to be "true Christians™".

Creation and evolution are two entirely different subjects.

Evolution does not explain how life was created, therefore one can believe in both creation and evolution.
