Actually Allah and his prophets are not allowed to be compared with anyone. You can't say Allah is stronger than millions of strong men. Whenever he and his prophets are compared with anyone its considered an insult. But its funny how muslims get so touchy whenever someone depicts mohammad but they have never protested when somebody depicted god! Few days back a girl in my university took up a role of god in a drama and it also won the first place. Nobody said anything against her.
Eskimo: "If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?" Priest: "No, not if you did not know." Eskimo: "Then why did you tell me?"

Well.. how many muslims actually care about people drawing Mohammad, isn't this only a big deal to the extremists?
Or do "most" muslims really think it's a huge insult because someone has compared mohammed to something else?

Interestingly, I saw some T-shirts with cartoons of Mohammad on them in Tokyo, might have been in Harajuku. I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm there. Some Muslims here last year (there are about 100 or so) complained that they can't wear their veils on their heads - the Japanese government response: "This is Japan, only criminals and ninja wear those, go someplace else if you don't like it."

I just tried checking the facebook group 'Everybody Draw Mohammed Day' to see if it was still there after all the controversy.

Looks like Facebook's given in, it's been deleted Sad

There's other groups with similar names still there, but they're not the original one Sad
There are also the 'We Stand Against Draw Muhammad Day' and the 'Convert "Draw Muhammad Day" into "Muhammad Day"' groups.
