I wonder why I have to necro this thread?...
Sorry about that, mods...
But it's for a good cause.... well... a green cause, like yourselves!
I just watched, after having it sitting on my hard drive for years, The Green Lantern.
Nice SFX... linear story, like all superhero movies... but heck... entertaining ... as long as you're like me and don't know anything about the comic books!...
hhmmmmmm that's the same approach I had to the "Avatar, the Last Airbender" movie... I'd suck as a reviewer!

I watched Miss Congeniality over the weekend... forgot how hot Benjamin Bratt is in it...

I watched The Fault in Our Stars last night, so just leave me alone.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I read the book. Thought it was just kind of okay. Wasn't as devastating as
My Sister's Keeper was, but I think I had my guard up for FIOS because of MSK...
EDIT: Oh, and I totally thought it was going to end differently and I'm not sure (having not seen the movie) if it would even make sense to explain why and how I thought it would have the other ending.

The last movie I watched is ''12 Years a Slave''. It was riveting, and really difficult in parts to take in. It is a true story about a free man who was abducted and sold into slavery, pre Civil war time period. The point of the movie though is to teach how one must have resolve and the desire to push on, even in the worst of circumstances, and adversity. It is a remarkable story, and I highly recommend.
