I wish people would stop quoting this verse. It makes me physically ill.

If people would quit claiming that the Bible says sex is only for procreation, we wouldn't need to quote it.

If people didn't use it as an excuse to rape their spouses, it wouldn't make me sick. But then, that's the reason most of the bible makes me sick. It is either explicit permission/order to do something horrible and unspeakable, or it is something that can easily be interpreted as such.

Congratulations. The Bible contradicts itself. There are multiple passages that admonish celibacy as the preferred option. The above passage endorses spousal rape. Bold emphasis mine.

It's even funnier than that, since some revered christian leaders like Origen of Alexandria took it upon themselves to cut of their privates for the sake of purity. And by the way, the bible has some interesting contradictions about that too:

"For there are (1) some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are (2) some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be (3) eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." -Matthew 19:12

And of course:

The logic is apparent. Images aren't drawn randomly. They're intended to have effects on real live people. As Alice noted, games could be played with characters made only of basic shapes.

By the way, I always think it's funny there's so much outrage about the possibilities of human privates in games, since seeing something like that might seriously hurt the tender souls of our little ones. But when it comes to violence, games have to be really gory to get the +18 label. Normal violence is obviously perfectly OK.

Read the verse jackass. Not that the true sickos don't just stop reading before that anyways. The only consent required in the verse is for time. So once you have free time your spouse is biblically permitted to smash your face into the headboard and violently rape you while blood pours down your face onto the sheets. You can easily adhere to that verse and justifiably rape your spouse just because you want to.

Let's say a woman is waiting in heels and lingerie for her husband, because like a good little wife she wants to please him. Let's say when he sees her he lifts her up by her throat and slams her into the wall, rips off her lingerie, and takes her violently all the while she is is begging him not to hurt her. Let's say she's not into that stuff and her pleas are genuine. Her husband hasn't broken any rules according to that verse.
