Well, he has a week to prepare his opening, because I had no idea how long this would take and wanted to be liberal with the time. The chances of actually needing all that time are remote; I know I won't be using all of it, anyway. ![]() As for the Hobbit, I made this thread so that the debate could be critiqued, and that includes my portions of it as well. If you have something substantive to say, then go right ahead, but I think we all know that bare, unsupported assertions are more your style. ![]()

I just visited the "debate" site. Fairly one-sided.
1. It's a poorly worded topic. "Evolution" can simply mean change in allele frequency from one generation to the next, which, as Exlax notes with parents, children and siblings, isn't controversial.
2. Exlax gives examples of supposed pieces of evidence, but never defines what constitutes scientific evidence. 3. The tiktaalik thing got blown out of the water by subsequent fossil finds. RE: Discussion on debate between Esquilax and His_Majesty.

No, evolution isn't up for debate among serious scientists. There's also a solid fossil record. Why don't you search the internet before making assertions. Here's a wiki link to human fossils. Can't be arsed to do an in depth search for someone, who's obviously not really interested in looking at the scientific evidence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hum...on_fossils And here's one to what you call the tiktaalik thing. How has it been blown out of the water? Care to provide a link? And even if it was by subsequent fossil finds, what does that prove, other than that science and knowledge evolves? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiktaalik (November 11, 2014 at 5:28 pm)Fidel_Castronaut Wrote: Prepare for https://answersingenesis.org/extinct-ani...k-on-land/ Maybe I'm a hopeless dreamer, but I'm hoping that alpha male has more sense to slum around with the likes of Ken Ham. And, while looking over that AiG horseshit, here's a word about the "author."
Quote:Dr. Mitchell is best known for authoring AiG’s weekly web feature “News to Note” since April 2011. The wife of popular AiG speaker Dr. Tommy Mitchell, Elizabeth operates under the conviction that accurate history never violates biblical history, that correct scientific understanding of our past will never contradict God’s eyewitness account in the Bible, and that genuine understanding of God’s Word builds faith in Jesus Christ. A fucking nut. (November 11, 2014 at 5:34 pm)Cthulhu Dreaming Wrote:(November 11, 2014 at 5:28 pm)Fidel_Castronaut Wrote: Prepare for https://answersingenesis.org/extinct-ani...k-on-land/ Yeah.
