Those of us on the outside, though, wonder if that belief were actually sincere, those sinful ways might recede a bit, but they sure don't seem to.

I suppose if pressed I might feel sad that people are losing something. But then this natural instinct will out somehow, and I can only hope that it will be better than what we have now. People feeling interconnected and concerned about the things in life which matter, rather than selfishness and greed.

Unfortunately religion, in whatever form, will always be with us.
