No - I simply pointed out that YOUR insistence that your beliefs are TRUE have not be proven by YOU As I point out often What would it take for YOU to accept that ALLAH - the god of Islam is the true god - and Islam is the true religion? I expect it would take far more than the ramblings of one indoctrinated follower - and several quotes from the Koran. I am no different than YOU - when it comes to religion - I expect COMPLETE and Testable and VERIFYABLE proof - and the difference between YOU and me is that YOU apply that to ALL other religions but yours - and I apply that to ALL religions. AND if you cannot understand that - then maybe you should graduate third grade before you post here. RE: How do you feel

Again some people here have real anger problems, I have noticed in on and off the fourm.
I do understand what you are saying, I haven't questioned the logic. Finally I haven't the slightest idea of how the American scholl system works, sorry.
I've got two questions for you C4RM5.
What does your username stand for or mean? Regarding your religious beliefs: do you assert that they are truly yours or that you have sound reasons why they ought to be everyone's? (Or perhaps you could just link me to where you've put out your position on all this if I missed it?) RE: How do you feel

First, I think it is inaccurate reporting that The Christian Faith is declining in number . Never before, have there been so many CHristian Missionaries active in the world , and that combined with TV Technological advances....the Christian message of the Gospel is reaching the far ends of the earth and has been translated into thousands of languages for all to hear and understand. What I truly think is sad...is, the profound effect Humanisms philosophies and official affirmations are having on society today particularly desired moral relativism . I also think it sad that so many are willing to suppress the truth and scientific evidence for God as personal theistic Creator / Designer so whatever chosen lifestyle can be lived out whether right, wrong, or dangerous. Youd be hardpressed to find a typical professed 'Atheist' wanting to open a book on the complexity of anything because it soon infers the intelligent design of systems whether biological or meta physical. In fact, any semblance of a Creator / intelligent design / Church / a cross on a building / the Bible / the discussion of Sin / the historical evidences for the New Testament including Christs life, death, and resurrection / fulfilled Prophecies amount to over 300 concerning Christs first coming / miracles / etc.... must be kept at great arm length due to the affront it is to the willful Ignorant among us so maximum personal autonomy can be maintained essentially making ONESELF his own 'god' instead of Gods rightful place in his/her life . Those are some things that make me sad because it leads to a very regretful end of Ones life live for Self which is the Humanists creed based on the temporary . The first question is easy it means nothing really, it is just the first letter of my fist name joined up with the first three letters of my surname.
I have explained before concerning my reasoning for being here, but I cannot remember where. Mainly I felt like debating. My reasoning is through the Bible where Jesus instructs his followers to share their beliefs and not bottle them up. God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
Well thanks for the reply. I guess it is better you come here than come around the neighborhood knocking on doors. Personally, I doubt that there are any here that haven't heard the 'Word', but it at least explains your business here. I'm on no mission myself. Just getting to know some of my fellow sentient beings before that ends, passing the time and getting in some yucks where I can.
Oh, I wonder if your missionary work is more burdensome to you or more enjoyable. I mean, I'm pretty sure I know what you're supposed to say, but I can assure you God never monitors what goes on here. We banned Him long ago. The Ten Commandments are timeless, I'm pretty sure I said they were. Seems you missed the statement about the punishment laws no longer in effect and they were for a certain time and place. The laws of love are still valid today and they apply to everyone since the advent of Christ. GC

But who is the intended audience of the NT and how long is it intended to stand? Are gentiles living beyond the shores of Palestine being addressed? Or is it just too soon to know? Oops, I see you answered in the time it took me to ask. Spooky. (Did god put you up to it?) |
